    1. Rosalie Salazar Whelan page 151. My Grandmas great Aunt Rosalia told this story. I was fortunate enough to visit my families canyon "Aravaipa Canyon" in 1999 for a family reunion, which brought everything together for me. The history in our story and the other women's stories brings a great sense of pride. I can't wait to share this book with my daughter.

    2. I read this book a few years ago. I bought it at the Tucson AZ Sonora Desert Museum gift shop. The author gathered oral histories from women whose families moved to & lived in the Tucson area back when it was still very "western." Very interesting histories.
