    1. I was looking for a lot more science in a "Sci-Fi by Scientists" book, instead I just realized what they meant was that it just wasn't written by experienced writers. If you want a more scienceful book like I did, don't try this one.Other people feel differently, but I HATE books that jump between different characters from chapter to chapter.     2. I love a good science fiction book, and to me, "good" is a unique blend of actual science and actual fiction. I've found most sci fi books are light on the science, but Seeds of Aril satisfies the questioning scientist in me by providing believable and interesting details about the potential future of space travel. Robinson also takes the time to develop his characters, although I do believe there were too many of whom to keep proper track. I'm looking forward to the next book in this series, al [...]

    3. This is a nice book, whose author I happen to know. RMRobinson takes an interesting tack on interstellar travel and human time scales, to tell a compelling story that last 65000 years, but actually gets the details right, without being bogged down by them.I enjoyed the book.
