    1. Okay, wow. This was better than the first (and that's saying something). I had . . . trepidation approaching this one because I really liked Chloe and Jason and I didn't want senseless retrograde relationship nonsense just to build a story. I mean, book 2 of a romance series with the same couple means something has to happen, right? And truthfully, the book does have some problematic relationship wobbles and I didn't really appreciate it. And yes, I have to admit that it's very much within Chloe' [...]

    2. Ok, I'll start by saying that I wasn't as keen on this one as I was on the first book. The first book had me completely in love with Jason and I felt that there wasn't nearly enough of him in Nobody's Damsel. The book wasn't so much about Chloe and Jason's relationship as about a harrowing case of a missing little girl, Esperanza, that Chloe is working on, her first case as a forensic scientist.I have to say I was expecting a lot more romance, so this threw me a little I kept expecting it to go b [...]

    3. Plot 8/10: I was expecting another fun romcom (romantic comedy) type book since the first in the series Someone Else's Fairytale was very much like that. But while the first book touched more on the romance and less on the tough topics (like child abuse), this one took the main character's dark past and used it to enhance the plot in so many ways. I LOVE crime shows like Law and Order. And chloe kind of reminded me of Olivia! I also felt that this book took the reader beyond the glam of crime sh [...]

    5. EM Tippetts has a habit of making the reader underestimate her books and then BAM! you feel silly for not seeing the ending. NOBODY'S DAMSEL was like this for me. I'd read book #1, Someone Else's Fairytale a while ago and loved it, so I was attached to these characters. The history and my attachment with the main characters, Jason and Chloe, boosted the read to a 4 starrer for most of my reading it and then this happened:at 70-75% I said this: "Have you read SOMEONE ELSE'S FAIRYTALE (book #1)? W [...]

    6. The two minutes of Jason and Kyra talking about Jason's favorite book in Break It Up are better than this entire book. (In fairness, those are really, really good minutes. I loved them so much.) But this book is such an incomplete story and there's no real resolution, and I wanted one. I did like knowing the Emmy and Golden Globes bit, but that wasn't the resolution to the story; instead, the book ended with more of that weird celebrity coexistence stuff that Chloe - feels above? Or separate fro [...]

    7. I was lucky enough to receive a copy of Nobody's Damsel from the author, Emily Mah Tippetts prior to release. This book is the second in Tippett's Someone Else's Fairytale series. Nobody's Damsel picks up after Chloe finishes her masters degree and has taken a job back in her hometown of Albuquerque, NM. Jason is still a highly successful and wanted actor but now he is a married man. They both love each other but is love always enough? The major difference now is the fact that they are trying to [...]

    8. (Source: I received a digital copy of this book on a read-to-review basis. Thanks to Emily Mah Tippetts.)This is book 2 in the ‘Someone Else’s Fairytale’ series, and kicks of 6 months after the end of book 1. **Warning – some unavoidable spoilers for book 1**It’s six months since Chloe and Jason tied the knot, and now Chloe has to deal with the pressures of having a movie star for a husband, especially one who the media constantly report is having an affair.Chloe is starting her new jo [...]

    9. At the end of this month it will be Ravenous Reader -Book Reviews first anniversary. I've learned a few things this year about blogging, about myself, and about authors. Especially about Indie authors. I chose to focus my book reviews on the Indie author for a couple reasons. Mainly because if you go into any main stream NY Times best-selling book, you are going to find a gazillion reviews. I'm sure the authors love the reviews, but probably could give a hoot about what some red headed chick fro [...]

    10. I loved this sequel! When I reviewed Someone Else’s Fairytale, I gushed about how much I loved the characters and how down to earth and real and believable they were and Nobody’s Damsel felt the same way.My favorite aspect of this sequel was seeing how Jason and Chloe began their life together and watching them work out the kinks in their relationship. It felt so realistic and I could relate to so many aspects of it. I enjoy a good romance with tons of steam and maybe even a love triangle he [...]

    11. Did I enjoy this book: I did enjoy this book. I read it every free chance I had . Nobody's Damsel is a good sequel and a good read. It is clean, engaging, sweet, and gripping in parts. This review will contain SPOILERS for Someone Else's Fairytale. So, if you do not want to know what happened in the first book of that series, stop reading now, go get that book (, Barnes & Noble), and then read this review and get this book. I enjoyed watching Jason and Chloe's relationship start and grow in [...]

    12. Firstly I’d like to thank the author for sending me an ARC to read and give an honest review. This is the sequel to Someone Else’s Fairytale which I also read and reviewed. I had wanted to know what happened next in Chloe’s life so was excited to find out that this sequel had been written, I was even more excited to learn that the author plans on turning this into a series! This time around Chloe and Jason were facing the kind of obstacles that I would imagine any kind of celebrity romance [...]

    13. Source: Review copy given by the author in exchange for an honest review.Review in a few words:real life sucks sometimes everyone has to figure it out great endingMy Rating: 4 Stars Review in Detail:Now I really really liked the first book in this series & wasn't sure what to expect in this second book. I'm torn a little because while I didn't enjoy this story as much as the first (Someone Else's Fairy Tale), I completely love that the author shows us the real life of Chloe & Jason. This [...]

    14. Nobody's Damsel is the sequel to the popular romance Someone Else's Fairytale by the talented Emily Mah Tippetts. I was very excited when I found out that Emily planned to write another book in the series because I loved Chloe and Jason. I wondered at the end of book one what would happen in their lives. Nobody's Damsel doesn't disappoint. The characters stayed true to themselves. Their lives aren't perfect, but neither are Jason or Chloe. Chloe lives her own life even though she is married to a [...]

    15. For this review and more Live Read and Breathe I was given the opportunity to pre-read this book in exchange for an honest review so here it goesI had mixed feeling about reading this book because I had liked where the story had left off and was unsure how their story was going to unfold.I found that in this book Chloe is going through a phase trying to find herself and come to terms with her past, chaotic present and uncertain future. At the same time Jason is also trying to find himself but wi [...]

    16. This book isn't released yet but I had the chance to read it in turn for an honest review by the author. This book was split into two. One with Chloe's POV and one with what appeared a script. The script and Chloe's POV usually had similarities (you'll understand why when you read the book). That's when I understood that this book would not have a lot to do with just Jason and Chloe's marriage but also with Chloe's job. Chloe's job as a forensic scientist to precedence over all themes in the book [...]

    17. Nobody’s Damsel is the sequel to Someone Else’s Fairytale by E.M. Tippetts. Given that Fairytale was a romance, I expected much the same from Damsel. This book, however, focuses less on romance and takes on the much tougher topic of child kidnapping and homicide. Damsel is a MYSTERY with a touch of romance- it is a much more mature work. The characters are beautifully developed, well written and realistic. The story does not gloss over Chloe and Jason’s relationship but depicts the vicissi [...]

    18. 3.5This series, to me, is sweetke cotton candy sweet. I fell in love with the first one not because it was earth shattering, jaw dropping, or any of those heart stopping type books. No, this was pure happiness. Plain and simple. Now that Chloe and Jason (swoon) are together, they are trying to figure out how to balance their lifes. Jason's still the most sought after actor around while Chloe just wants to go unnoticed and do her work. Unfortunately, being married to one of Hollywood's finest does [...]

    19. I received a copy from the author in exchange for an honest review.I read Someone Else's Fairytale earlier this year and loved it! It's rare that I enjoy romance/chick lit type books but this series is refreshing and I love the author's writing style. Chloe's character captured me immediately and I was really excited when I learned that there would be a sequel!Nobody's Damsel did not disappoint. It delves in to Chloe's life as her marriage to superstar Jason Vanderholt has just begun. She's comp [...]

    20. A really fun followup to Someone Else's Fairytale. I love the characters in this series so much, and Chloe and Jason's ups and downs just feel pitch-perfect - Emily Tippetts is SO good at writing relationships! And I love the story lines with their family members, too. The only reason this is a 4-star review from me is entirely personal and subjective - since I'm the mom of 2 young kids, I have a hard time reading plots that involve injury to young children (Chloe is a forensic scientist, and is [...]

    21. This is the sequel to Someone Else's Fairytale. This book gives you a glimpse of what it could be like to be married to someone famous, while still trying to live the life you have worked hard for. Tabloids and rumors are only part of Chloe Vanderholts life now. Jason pledged she was his soul mate, could he have been wrong?I loved where Emily brought the characters from the first book. It hadn't been too long from when we last read about them. Chloe is finally finished with school, they are both [...]

    22. I loved this book, as much as I loved the first one, Someone Else's Fairytale. In this one Chloe and Jason have been married about a year, but have spent a lot of time apart, due to her Masters studies and his film making. Paparazzi and gossip magazines are accosting Chloe and hinting at marital problems. Chloe is bothered but decides to keep an open mind, which is proof of how intelligent she is. I loved how Jason enforces his devotion to Chloe each time they meet, he's very much a man in love [...]

    23. This is perhaps a funny kind of complaint, but I had trouble with this one because I didn't believe it all! Sure, in the first book Chloe fell in love with a movie star, but in this one I didn't believe the beginning of her job. I was relatively fine with her giving press conferences and getting involved in the case more than a real crim would. I mean, that's an accepted part of the mystery genre. But where were the weeks (months?) of training? I don't care how good your education is, you need t [...]

    25. I liked this one, but not nearly as much as SEL. While the mystery plot to find Esperanza was engaging and heart-wrenching, I wasn't as fond with Jason's actions/his conflict with Chloe in this novel (though I still love him!). I also wish we had seen more of Kyra (her brief subplot with her superstar crush wasn't quite tied up). Still, Chloe's tenacity and pragmatic nature carried me happily through the novel. 4.5 stars.

    26. I'm so bummed about this. I knew this was going to be different from the first book, but it really didn't do it for me. I would have liked for there to be a bigger focus on the romance. I just feel like the transition from romance story to mystery story wasn't executed as well as it could have been. Besides having the same central characters, I feel like this book wasn't even related to the first one. So because of that, I had little enjoyment for the story.

    27. Thanks to the lovely E.M.Tippetts I have had the honor to read this book before its release date (5th of January, 2013), so you can check my full review here book2review.tumblr/post/39This is one of the few books which had everything I could ever wish for in a book- bit of science, handsome Hollywood guy, friendship, love, inner battles with past and romance. Plus, an amazing cover art!

    28. 31% and I am done ! I can't keep reading this book. It is so annoying. All I have been reading so far is about a crime. It is just annoying. Where the hell is Jason? Is like I am reading a book about cops.

    29. The more I think about this book I feel like this can't be the end of there story!! There is way to much left open!!
