    1. I love how right now in the story the people that they are fighting seem unbeatable, but Fairy Tail never gives up they know if they work together they can do anything. They treat eachother as family. There was some boob grabbing and I don't mean by the guys. Of course there was another cliff hanger so I am waiting for the next one to find out how they are going to get out of this situation.

    2. Now that's more like it (ridiculous as some of this magic is - the soul linking stuff for instance felt very contrived). I thought the fights in this book were unusual, but engaging and pretty clever in their execution as well as their setupd with a lot of characters encountering shadows from their past in this arc, the tension just keeps winding tighter.

    3. I'm so over this arc. It would have been waaaay better if Mashima just stuck to the plan and went through with the S Class examine because it was something new. Not recycled plot points with new characters that I'm 80% not gonna remember the names of.

    4. At this point it would be hard to continue justifying a purchase of this series, since there's very little to differentiate one volume from another. But as a quick read from the library, it's got several points to recommend it. The action sequences remind me of old Looney Tunes episodes, and Mashima never seems to run out of interesting character models for his teams of supervillains. It's the same old character relationships getting recycled again and again that can wear on the nerves, but that [...]

    5. I'm really Mashima'd out. I don't think I will be continuing with Fairy Tail. It's just got a bunch of the things that drove me nuts with later volumes of Rave Master (such as missing spines, organs, and clothing for the majority of female characters), and I just don't want to read anymore because all it does is make me annoyed. So before I rip this series a new one, I'm just gonna quit while I'm ahead.

    6. Fairy Tail vol. 27 Summary: THAT'S THE SPIRIT? A powerful user of magic, with a goat's head? It'd be funny if it weren't trying to slaughter Fairy Tail! Loke has an idea of the wizard's true identity - but while he fights to prove it, Ultear has already reached the sleeping Zeref, and she has plans of her own for the legendary black wizardRating: 4 starsOpening Line: "Hurry and treat the wounded!"Quote: "She's really strong! Natsu was really struggling!"

    8. As with the previous volume, volume 27 has some great character development/spotlight moments for characters that don't always get to shine. Again, there is a lot of action, but, as a whole, this volume feels like it is constantly building up to something more.

    9. This volume starts with Chapter 223: The Door of Humans. That's all for now until I reach editing mode.Ta-ta Pretties!

    10. It was a quick read, especially since I have watched the anime up to this point.I enjoy this series! Natsu and Lucy amuse me

    11. Basically several fights against the grimoire heart wizards.Funniest one was lucy being used via vodoo doll.Best one was Juvia, finally we see Juvia in full power.

    12. (This review covers Vol. 26, Vol. 27, and Vol. 28.)Some good fights, although I actually wish the motivations for the villains were slightly better fleshed out. Still enjoyable, though. (A-)
