    1. Now that is how you write a shifter story!! This is a Unicorn shifter story. It's short and it's sweet and there is NO SEX HAPPENING WHILE IN UNICORN FORM!!! :) It's on sale at Less Than Three Press, so get your copy now. And in case you didn't know the origin of the Unicorn:

    2. 3.75 stars--What a sweet, delicate, sugary fantasy short storyMM unicorn shifter stories are just as rare as the magical beast. Or I should say good ones. Don't worry, this isn't PWP. This is a romance between a unicorn shifter and his human mate. Joel, a past rape victim (it's off page) has a calling to run into the woods one night, naked and alone. He goes in alone and leaves with a mate, Laburne. From that night, Joel gets a quick history lesson on unicorns. Here are a few cool tidbits:-Their [...]

    3. There are many legends about unicorns, and this story takes some of them and weaves them into an interesting world. Fantasy interlaces with the paranormal and the human, resulting in a curious mix between sweet and dark.Joel has been raped and broken, and no longer believes in "the good". He can't believe anyone would be interested in him, especially not someone as pure as a unicorn. His own misconceptions of what the world is like are his biggest enemy. But he still feels drawn to the unicorn w [...]

    4. Review posted at The Armchair Reader.I've been a bit fan of M Raiya's work ever since I read Notice and it's sequels. I like the world's that she builds and her style of writing really seems to draw me in. So I was really excited to see that she was coming out with a new story (hopefully the start of a sequel) that introduced a whole new world. She visited the blog last week to talk a bit about it and after reading the story her guest post made a bit more sense to me (which you can read here). S [...]

    5. This review can be found at Brief Encounters Reviews. It took me a bit to realize this was a contemporary story as it starts out rather more like a fantasy story, with Joel waiting in a meadow after having being mysteriously told by a teacher in his youth that he is meant for bigger things. Some pull brings him to the meadow and when he sees the unicorn he panics. In some ways he knows that he’s meant for the unicorn, but he is also aware that unicorns must be with someone pure, and after suffe [...]

    6. A good idea but not a good book in my opinion. The relationship was to easy, without any depth, and the characters and the plot were the same

    7. At the start we meet Joey who has experienced something horrible, the tragic act of rape. He is drawn to a field behind his home one night and it's there he encounters a unicorn, something he's waited all his life for. Seeing himself no longer worthy he runs away until he hears something from the unicorn and turns backconds later everything breaks into chaos. It's a nice story and it starts off really well. Readers also get info. about unicorns and their chosen and it was intriguing to read. But [...]

    8. Silver Pearl is a very sweet and endearing story. Joel is a rape victim, and he's still far from recovering at the beginning of the story. It's very heartrending to read how so broken and scared he is at the beginning but the details are glossed over so even if you have difficulty handle this topic, I wouldn't say this book is a no go.This is a very short read and it's easy to nitpick its flaws however it's a pleasurable read, even if it's not one I would revisit.Rating: A bit less than 3 STARS

    9. This was a beautiful story. Full of hope and promise, while dealing with the wounds inflicted long ago.Joel and his unicorn make a wonderful couple. When all is said and done, the story is both touching and affective. I wanted to make everything better for the two of them. Please see Lucky's complete 4 sweet pea review on May 12, 2013 at mrsconditreadsbooks/index.

    10. I loved this story! Short and sweet and at the same time, angsty. <3 I want to read more about Joel and Laburne! *groans* :) Looking forward to reading M. Raiya's upcoming story with LT3! <3
