    1. 2.5 stars, with potential. Just what you'd expect from a vampire-masquerade-themed anthology: same-old from Sean Michael, BA Tortuga and Julia Talbot, a couple of nothing-specials, and three pretty good ones with potential for more. These new-to-me authors had stores that I wished were longer, they were meatier with world building that could have provided a longer read:Scented by Sam SchoolerCultural Hospitality by Laylah HunterPerfection by Anna Hedley

    2. I totally loved this anthology; this is the first time in a long time that I've really liked every story provided instead of just most of them. The masquerade theme was well done and managed not to seem repetitive. I also liked how, even though the stories were all vampire related that there were a few that brought other paranormals into the mix as well. This was a well done anthology and I enjoyed it so much I'm going to have to go out and look for the first volume and any subsequent offerings. [...]

    3. Not gonna lie, I had a blast writing my contribution to this one. I wound up pretty much making a sundae out of "tropes that are fun to write" and piling as much self-indulgence on there as I could. I hope it's equally entertaining to read. ;)
