    1. Nick Walsh, champion ski jumper (aerial freestyle skier) is participating in a competition that is a precursor to the upcoming Winter Olympic Games. He wants to eventually win the gold for his late brother, Cody, who was also a skier and died in a skiing accident a year ago. Nick is also receiving dangerous threats--someone tampers with his skis, sends him menacing letters, he's shot at, etc While at the competition he meets an old acquaintance he went to school with, Julie Frost. She is at the [...]

    2. Originally posted HERE.I’m not a reader of Christian fiction, but the cover caught my eye, placed as it was in a sea of covers of embracing couples! And then the blurb – themed just in time for the Winter Olympics – seemed appropriate! Additionally, I love suspense books. The nicest surprise about this one was that it wasn’t all that ‘Christian’. The few other Christian romances I’ve read have broken off from the story to randomly quote scripture or to push ‘morals’ on the reade [...]

    3. Treacherous Slopes was a fun read. I liked the setting and that the main character was an athlete. The romance was sweet, mainly because the characters knew each other growing up and this was kind of their "second chance".The villain was not a surprise, as I saw it coming, but it was still good. I can't believe all the things he/she tried to do to harm him!All in all, a good read. It wasn't that gripping of a story, but I did still like the book.*I received a complimentary copy of this book for [...]

    4. 4 STARS Treacherous Slopes is full of action, danger, grief, suspense and some romance. It starts off strong and keeps going until the end. I guessed part of the suspense and was surprised at others events that happened. It is also a clean read. I like that Nick is a strong character. Someone is trying to kill him. He is favored to make the U.S. ski team again. His first jump goes wrong and he figured that who ever is after him as struck again. He does not want anyone to get hurt because someone [...]

    5. Treacherous Slopes by Terri Reed was a very good book. There was action, suspense, mystery, friendship, grief and romance. The mystery of who is trying to kill a champion ski jumper was carried on throughout the entire book and I didn't know who it was until it was revealed at the end. The characters were well developed and realistic having both positive and negative traits. The action and suspense were non-stop and well written. The writing style flowed easily and it was a quick, easy read. I w [...]

    9. Nick Walsh is a champion aerial skier, who has a good chance of earning the gold in the upcoming Olympics. Julie Frost is hoping to get a permanent spot as a news reporter after she gets an interview with Nick. Nick doesn't like reporters, but his manager has agreed to the interview, and Nick and Julie grew up together; so Nick wants to trust her, but then again, she is a reporterNick has an accident during his competition that he's pretty sure wan't an accident at all. As the attempts on his li [...]

    11. Maybe a little less, s the ending was a little pat, but a good, solid novel. She did, however, have a chance to make the female protagonist the "rescuer, which I was REALLY hoping for (I've read a lot of these books, and it never happens, though sometimes there is a joint effort), and did not do so.

    12. The whole time I thought it was Frank and it turns out to be Lee and Troy!!!! Wow, good book. Kept me guessing.

    13. *received for free through First ReadsEasy, simple read. Plenty of action and intrigue, could have been a little stronger in the romance.
