    1. Elizabeth compromises Darcy in this one under the influence of a strong homeopathic. What can I say about that? It was something that should never be in my mind. Besides that bit of yuckiness, I really like this book. It was crazy as usual. Lots of mayhem, maybe more than usual. Elizabeth is much younger in this book but whenever she is written young, I just try to gloss over her age in my mind. One thing I really like about all her books is that there is no way you can guess where anything is g [...]

    2. 3.5 stars - This was one of the books offered for free over the July 4th weekend. Two things you must know if you read even one of Melanie Schertz’s books and that is that, yes, her books need major editing and secondly that her plots are “way out in left field”. If those are not acceptable to you, then just don’t read her books. I find her stories highly imaginative and somewhat laughable at times. Really the things that she comes up with….earthquakes, cross dressing, brain injuries re [...]

    3. This book is driving me crazy!Don't get me wrong, I love it, but just as I think it is a great telling of Elizabeth and Darcy, the author reminds us if Elizabeth's age. Why she chose to make Elizabeth 15 years old is beyond me. That makes Lydia much to young to behave as she does, and Elizabeth and Darcy etc. gives all the characters actions and thoughts 5 years more mature than the age she assigns them. WHY, why, why would the author do this????? The story is worth reading, if you can get past [...]

    4. The story of Jane and Elizabeth Bennet who are the daughters of the first Mrs Bennet, and where Mary, Kitty and Lydia the daughters of Fanny Bennet nee Philips. The second Mrs Bennet blames Elizabeth for all the wrongs in her life. Which results in Jane and Elizabeth (at the age of 15) moving to Lambton to be with the Gardiners, and meeting the Darcy and Bingley family. While Fanny Bennett exacts her revenge.

    5. Some of the worst editingIn some places the sentences were so poorly written it was hard to decipher what the author meant. It was a struggle to get through some of the chapters. The story was not all that memorable possibly because of the poor composition. I am happy it was on unlimited because had I purchased it, I would have felt cheated.

    6. Liked itThis might be one of my favorite variations except for the editing problems. Fanny Bennet & Lady Catherine are truly evil!! New characters and expanded roles for some minor ones add to the story. Once again, the author has intriguing ideas but needs some formatting help. Typos, grammar, period language, etceaset some one to help.

    7. Too melodramatic for meThis Pride and Prejudice variation really deviates from the original. Mrs. Bennett is Jane and Elizabeth's stepmother, the Gardiners run a shop in Lambton, and Elizabeth and Darcy meet and fall in love when Elizabeth is 15. A kidnapping, an assault, and a sordid affair make this book too unlikely to believe.

    8. As usual Ms Schertz's story concept is interesting but the writing and editing are horrible. I can't believe there ever was an editor if so they need to be fired!
