    1. 3 I'm-surprised-it's-not-too-bad stars! This was better written than the other 3 books of hers that I've read: The Tycoon's Make-Believe Fiancée, The Sheik's Intimate Proposition, The Sheik's Dangerous Lover. The plot was tighter, the sexual tension higher, the chemistry between the H/h helluva lot better, and lesser editing issues.Because we're not going to have a sanitized version of a marriage between us. We're going to get to know each other, we're going to make love over and over again, we' [...]

    2. The Sheik's Defiant Fiancée is a nice short romance story about Laila and her soon-to-be husband Sheik Jabril. The story was fun, with steamy moments and i liked the fact that even though it was short(only 66 pages!) it felt completed. It didn't make me feel like the story needed something more-that it was missing something like some other short stories made me feel. But i would like to see a little more world building, i'm sure it would be entertaining to learn more things about 'Surisia' the [...]

    3. I enjoyed the other two stories loosely connected with this one so I thought I'd give it a try. I found that out of the three that I wasn't as enamored with this one. Mostly it was the heroine. At first I liked her and respected her stance about her upcoming arranged marriage. She heard rumors that her soon to be husband, the country's ruler, was a philanderer and didn't want to go beyond a business like arrangement since he wouldn't be faithful. But then when she confronts him and he tells her [...]

    4. I'm not sure if this book is an introduction to a series, if so then they did a piss poor job of introducing those characters and if its a stand alone, it still wasn't very good. I didn't have any problems at all with Jabril's character, he was sweet, sexy and honest. Unlike Laila! Damn her character was annoying! I would totally understand where she was coming from, being essentially forced into an arranged marriage, if she didn't actually want it, but she did. I really dislike female leads who [...]

    5. Admittedly I read this in a class where this was available for free. The title seemed cringeworthy enough (for fluff, so I wasn't expecting much) . However this book has a rape scene where the sheik (who is the male lead) rapes the protagonist who is continually telling him that she doesn't want sex. I find that it is messed up that books like these glorifies that sex is ok, or even desirable, if you consciously don't want it, but find the man physically irresistible. If this is the standard we [...]

    6. Crrrrap. Seriously. The only thing hat even makes this sheik related is the actual word and maybe the main character names. Other than that, nope. There are just way too many things to list about why this was utter nonsense. Bah. Glad it was less then 70 pages of my valuable time.

    7. Too shortIs book was too damned short. Just when I started to get into the story, it ended. I also had an issue with how quickly the female lead capitulated to her feelings for the male lead.

    8. Laila knew what she was getting herself into with marring Sheik Jabril. This is a business deal for her father, not love for her. She is a college grad for starters, and she knows what she wants in life, and even though she is marring the man she doesn’t want anything to do with the past playboy that probably has two to three woman on the side hidden from her. What she didn’t expect was how much he turned her into a puddle of mush. Head strong and determined she voiced what she needed and wan [...]

    9. So this is the third story I've read in this series but it's the first chronologically. Again, this author's books remind me of fluffy harlequins romances so I'm not expecting too much, I am glad they've all been free. Zero development of the characters and hardly any description of anything. I came away not really knowing what they were supposed to look like, except she had dark hair and is shorter than him and he is tall with dark eyes.Laila is to marry a sheik she has only met once, she's det [...]

    10. Laila was not happy about being a participant in a production. She walked down the runway. Royal Highness, Prince Jabril El Amin Yarin, Sheik of Surisia was in attendance. He thought she was stunning. Sheik Jabril asked Laila to dance. He had quite a reputation with the woman. Would the Prince ask her to be his wife? Cool book cover, great font & writing style. A very well written ethnic cultural prince/princess love story (book). It was very easy to read/follow from start/finish & never [...]

    11. Mini-ReviewI started this book in between reading Ready Player One, mainly, because I just added it to my tablet. It was a very short story. It felt as if it was a novella, and I’m not sure if that was the intention. There wasn’t any character development and hardly an characterization. Throughout the story, I had a hard time understanding why Laila was pushing Jabril away. I mean I know the initial reason was because she believed he was a player, but once he tells her the truth, she doesn [...]

    12. I read this book finding it was connected to at least two other books. I made the error of reading The Tycoon's Make-Believe Fiancée, the third book in this series first and didn't realise it was a book in a trilogy or series until I read The Prince's Resistant Lover, the second installment in this series. Each can be a stand alone, however you get more insight to the characters and the storyline if you read them in order. This book and the other two are tender little love stories, however they [...]

    13. This was an ok/good freebie. I liked the story but the characters were a little off somehow. I didn't quite connect with them very well but I enjoyed reading the book. Most of the time I was just aggravated and wanted to smack 'em and tell them to get their stuff together. There were some steamy scenes, a little suspense towards the end, a lot of anxiety feelings, but a good ending. I don't really think I'll read this again but it was an ok read and not a waste of time. Good for something to rea [...]

    14. The story was a good one. Of course, it could have been longer but for a free book what do you expect. It is clear to me that the publishers didn't read and/or correct this book before it was published. There were plenty of grammatical errors that were very distracting. For example "he pulled him against his " instead of he pulled her. Other than that it was a good storyline and a good read.

    15. Well, very short read. Only took me 30 minutes to finish it. Laila is very stubborn she become a pain the bottom. I mean, she keeps struggling and denying Jabril, saying that she doesn't like him and stuff like that yet when he kiss her, she 'melted'. I was like, get a grip! Jabril is sweet but again, the story is so darn short I can't feel the chemistry between them. A bit disappointing. Overall, sweet book. (Free on iTunes)

    16. Laila has a quiet strength that found appealing. Jabril is a total alpha who has never had anyone stand up to him. She believes that he is a playboy of the worst sort and I liked how she takes a stand against him with such determination. It took him way too long to explain himself to her. Even after she told him what was the problem, he allowed her to believe the worst. The ending was sweet and satisfying.Adult read

    17. I bought this book for free on amazon and I'm sooo glad I did. It was hot, and sexy, I just wish it was longer. I would have liked to have a bigger story with Jabril and Laila, would have liked their love story to be prolonged but I guess that's what we get with novellas. Anyway it was SMOKIN and INTENSE, but also really wonderful.

    18. This was a quick read. I liked the who main characters. I enjoyed the arranged marriage part of things and how adimate that Laila was not to give herself over to Jabril. He worked to win her and my only downfall with all these books are the time windows the relationships develop and the characters fall into love. But fun quick read.

    19. I wanted to like this book and in a way I did. It's just that I only like the last two chapters of the entire book. It was boring not much going on and just seemed to drag on and on. Nothing really happened until the end of the book but by that point I was really ready for it to be over. Maybe I'll give this author another chance because this book was putting me to sleep.

    20. A lot of things have happened since. 2014 Was a very hard year for myself so all the reviews are showing up on the same date. I can't explain why they are, if the ratings are justice or accurate I can also not say when I truly read these. I'm just going to say 2014 on the same day added just to keep the year right if not the month

    21. This is the first book I have read by Elizabeth Lennox It is a sweet story Jabril fell in love with Laila as soon as he read her credentials Laila is reluctant to marry himHe tries to win her overI think anyone who likes happy ever after sexy romance would love this story Does Jabril succeed?? you have read the book to find out !!!

    23. I have download this book on freebee. It was a very short read for me. I was a little confused by the storyline namely if you are going to marry someone and you find that person attractive why building up the wall around yourself? It appears to be simple solution as married you have sexual relationship with a husband. simple

    24. I have really liked every book I have read by Elizabeth Lennox. They have all of the angst of a good old Harlequin, but with hotter love scenes. Completely wonderful escapism reading! To me, all of her books are fun to read, maybe not the most realistic, but I really like them!

    25. You will love me he tells her. This is cute. He wants her. She refuses to want him because she thinks he is a player but really it's his brothers reputation she heard about not his. She truly is a defiant fiancé. But a perfect wife for him.

    26. Stubborn fiancee as wellGood book, but too short a read. Whole novels have been written for a shorter time than this novella covers. It is a good read and I hope to read more of Ms. Lennox's works. Thank you Ms. Lennox.

    27. I did enjoy this quick read. The characters just didn't ring true though. She was determined not to have relations with the sheik but then gave in easily each time. I did enjoy reading it and would have gave 4 stars if the characters were a bit more believable.

    28. The Sheiks Defiant Fiancee by Elizabeth LennoxOne of my favorite stories I love my Sheik books another good one I really enjoyed it so will you she did not know she loved him until the in Avery good love story can't wait for you to read it enjoy Margie Moran

    29. a sweet little read. it's very cute!do sheiks drink wine? she was a little juvenile sometimes but it was still adorable. recommend to travellers who need to kill 2 hours between to flights with a light read.

    30. she is having sex with him and still denies any feelings? Too much denial and a man who is patient and does not get too frustrated he is not a sheik, he is a fairy tale prince. had its moments but overall very underwhelming.
