    2. Written from Cedar's PoV. Which I liked a lot. It brought the long-awaited conclusion to the stupid revenge-theme.I am glad we got finally rid of that. And it showed a bit more of his feelings for Kali. A good read.

    3. Man, I love this series. Cedar and Kali aren't the most forthcoming individuals or, well, I guess it's more that they do well enough when they're dealing with their various projects (Kali's gadgets and Cedar's quest for revenge), but they're not as good at personal relationships.Honestly, those two are going to be dynamite together once the stars align and they make their move. I mean, they rock NOW and they're still trying to figure things out. Relationship things. Future things. Look at me, I' [...]

    4. I have really enjoyed the Flash Gold series and this book was no different. The story opens shortly after the action in Peacemaker. Kali is well on the way to building her airship and Cedar is still hot on Cudgel Conrad's trail. That trail leads him and Kali into some really creepy scrapes in this book. ENough to make one's skin crawl. And it turns out that the Cudgel also has some sneaky magic up his sleeve, which certainly makes life even harder for Cedar. Unlike the other novellas, this one e [...]

    5. 3.5 stars.I can't really remember much of the last books apart from small bits and pieces, but I think the best bit for me with this was probably the last 10/15%, when it all a picked up with Cedars hunt for Cudgel.

    6. More awesome, please! By which I mean the last installment. ASAP. This slow romance that has stretched across the whole series is finally heating up. As is Cedar's pursuit of his nemesis. MUST READ!

    7. The story had a few pacing issues, that slowed the narrative down a little, however, the concluding action was well written and smooth. The actual battle felt a little short and almost anti-climatic after the prior three stories dwelling so much on the hunt for Cudgel. The only real eyebrow raising moment was a rattler pit in the Yukon in autumnarently these rattlers are endothermic.

    8. Flash Gold is my favorite Buroker series (although that is a lot like picking a favorite child). I admit freely that I was one of those fans who, not so subtly, reminded the author on FB every time she announced the release of a new book how very excited I was going to be to read this new offering but (in the politest way possible) I would really love to read more about Cedar (if it wasn't too much troubleank you so very much for sharing your talent with usovel, grovel.) I wasn't disappointed wi [...]

    9. I haven't read anything in the Flash Gold series that wasn't light, fun, and full of snappy dialogue, so in that respect, Claimed wasn't at all a disappointment. It moved at a fast clip, the action was well done and character driven enough that it didn't get boring, and it felt longer and more substantial than the previous three books. To some extent, though, this suffers from being so close to the end of the series. Most of the book focuses on tying up a massive loose end from the previous book [...]

    10. My Review: This story is just as great as all the others in the Flash Gold Chronicles. My favorite thing about this one though is that Cedar, big Katana wielding Cedar, is jealous. The story starts out with Cedar being jealous of a newspaper man. Can you believe it? It ends with Kali exasperated with Cedar. That’s not new but you’ll be happy with the out come. I was. It was completely Kali and Cedar.I love that these stories are a ruckus adventure. They are funny and fun. Does Cedar get his [...]

    11. This whole Flash Gold Series is another 5 star hit!!! Get the first book for 99 cents and you'll be hooked. Then you can stop till you have followed Kali and friends alongside through their Adventures and journies. Lots of fun, flirtin, and somewhat strange gold rush action.Or course every good adventure needs a building romance between the main charector who's a hot blooded independent type native canadian 19 woman, ant well brought up, armed to the teeth, cute and hunky, bounty hunter, withdre [...]

    12. Isn't it strange how some series you can pick a book and not recall any of the characters, their names, their other halves or their back stories - even if you have read 5 or 6 really long books. Others just seem to be easily recalled. So it is with the Flash Gold Chronicles. I am reliably informed that it is 2 years since the last novella was published and yet as I started this latest one it all came flooding back to me.I love Kali and her brilliant inventiveness. Cedar and his bashfulness trying [...]

    13. I've long sung the praises of Lindsay Buroker. I think she is a very talented writer, and her quality work continues here. Claimed offers few surprises, and lacks the insane airship action of previous entries (in fact, there are no working airships this time around), but it still delivers a solid narrative. Cedar finally tells Kali how he feels about her (sort of) and the ending is satisfying. I personally want to see more of the mysterious people who view Kali as a threat for unknown reasons, b [...]

    14. Kali and Cedar are still at it. Kali has finally gotten somewhere on her airship while Cedar is out hunting for Cudgel. We find out a little more about Cedar's past involvement with Cudgel. The story is still very exciting, the characters are well rounded and the writing is great. However, things are starting to wrap up since the next Flash Gold novella will be the last one. That makes me really sad, since I really enjoyed reading these and really love Kali and Cedar. I am hoping that everything [...]

    15. Kali is on the verge of finishing her airship, when she and Cedar are asked to look into the reasons why prospectors are selling out their proven claims for asong and then high-tailing it out of town. I was so happy to see that Buroker finally got around to writing another episode in this fun little steampunk series. It was great to see inventor Kali and bounty hunter Cedar again, I can never get enough of them. I enjoyed this installment and I am looking forward to the wrap up - which is suppos [...]

    16. Cedar is thisclose to getting his revenge but just as he is, someone is after Kali and her flash gold. This is a typical adventure for these two, with Cedar's identity close to being disclosed and everyone and their evil brother after the secret to flash gold. And, most of all, this is about Cedar and Kali finally talking about getting close.I particularly like this series. The idea of a steampunk Yukon still intrigues me just as much as it ever did. And I adore the characters.

    17. Disappointing. There were too many loose ends in the plot. Entertaining characters as always but the storyline in this one just doesn't grab me and some elements just feel "thrown in" for effect rather than being essential to the story. For example the claim scam was never really explained. As entertaining as it was, the cave scene felt completely extraneous and contrived. Expected better from this talented author.

    18. It was another short but great Flash Gold novella. I wish it hadn't been such a cliffhanger, but I did enjoy how far it advanced. Hearing Cedar's voice in this one was great. I enjoyed being privy to some of his thoughts. Maybe there will be time for a little steampunk steamy romance in the next (final?) one! LB, you already know how much I love your "stories"is was no exception. What's coming out next?

    19. Talk about a cliffhanger! Really liked it, even though the perspective changed to that of the hero. It was enlightening to get a handle on his thoughts and feelings. Up till now, he was pretty much a poker face. A good story =)Only issue: these are too short! It fits, because that leaves plenty of time outside of the story for things to happen, then bringing us back in for all of the action. Hope that explains things! When oh when does the next book come out?

    20. So, the 4th book of the series finally had me hooked, despite me preferring characters with more "edge" than the YA genre typically allows. However, Ms. Buroker has a way of endearing her characters to her readers that just force you to learn what happens to them next. I'm certainly looking forward to the promised conclusion of the series in Fall!

    21. It's nice to be back with Kali and Cedar's adventures but the book felt too short: maybe because it's been too long since I read the third book, or maybe because of the cliffhanger at the end. I think I would have waited till next fall to read this book and the next together if I had known this was just a first part of a bigger story.

    22. I think one of the reasons I love Lindsay Buroker so much is that she goes straight ahead and writes from the viewpoints we're dying for. Cedar is funny, sweet, intelligent and everything you want him to be after reading the first three books. The ending did feel a bit rushed unfortunately but it also reflected his changing priorities and perfectly sums up Cedar and Kali's relationship.

    23. I enjoyed the latest adventure of Cedar and Kali. I do still wish these were full-length novels and not just 100-page novellas. Ms. Buroker has something here! Such a fun, interesting steampunk series! She said there's only one novella left. :( I'm excited to start reading her Emperor's Edge series.

    24. I always enjoy reading Lindsay Buroker's Flash Gold series. Kali and Cedar's adventures are humorous and nail-biting. Claimed found them even closer to catching Cudgel--the slippery villain who killed Cedar's brother--and closer to declarations for each other. Now, I shall anxiously await the final installment in the series.

    25. Still really loving this series, can't wait for #5. My only quibbleDAMMIT KALI, REINVENT THE FLASH GOLD! Really, this is kind of becoming an issue as so many of her inventions use it and she's just using it up! I don't know why, but that's bugging me!

    26. This book, as the previous books in this series, was AWESOME. The banter between the two main characters is fantastic and the action is never ending! Would recommend it to anyone that loves a great story, especially if they like Steampunk.

    27. After a long wait, the next book has come out. Yea!However, these is one moren't wait for it.The two of them draw closer, lots of innuendos. It just takes some competition in town (view spoiler)[ to bring them to a conclusion about how they feel for each other (hide spoiler)].

    28. The Yukon. Gold rush. Mounties. Dastardly bad guys. An engineering genius? What's not to like? This series is a quick read and worth putting on your summer reading list. The final installment comes out this fall, so catch up now!

    29. There is gold in this series and you do not have to hunt for itLindsay Buroker adds to the exciting Flash Gold series in this much anticipated continuation. Wait no more, Flash Gold is back!
