Very cute, but perhaps a bit careless in its message. In that way it's quite nostalgic, and the illustrations are as well.

I liked the use of verbs throughout this story and the use of alliteration. The large font helps to emphasise certain words when reading aloud.

I laughed, very loudly, out loud in a shop when I read this book, and I just had to buy it! Fidgety Izzy is going around the zoo winding up the animals whilst her teacher is telling her not to. When she is told not to tickle the tiger, does she listen? What happens next causes complete chaos in the zoo. Summary: This is a great story about a girl who is always very busy. When her class visits the zoo, her teacher warns her not to bug the animals but she has a hard time following the simple direction.Characteristics: This story is full of colorful, accurate pictures that tell the story in such a fun way. Great illustrations. Odd story.

Cute children's story with repetition and rhyme. Would be great with a tiger or animal themed storytime.

Love the idea of a little girl who can't stop fidgeting, but it's kind of a strange story, too. Not sure what the point is I guess? But cute illustrations! =)

This was suggested to me to use as a phonics resource e.g. never Tickle a Tiger, never Poke a Peacock etc - what else should you never do. I can imagine pupils will come up with a wide range of examples.
