    1. I've been working hard on my running form lately. Trying to change it for more efficiency, lower injury and faster times. The pose method is essentially the method of the modern day runner. Nicholas does a great job of breaking down the technique and gives a step by step workbook for implementation. He talks about shoes, journal keeping and the fact that running truly is a skill. Take out the earbuds and focus on your body. Highly recommend this book, from the creator. For experienced runners an [...]

    2. The Running Revolution is, above all else, a methodology. It's not just a book about running, it's based around a specific version of running and it builds a complete program for you to learn how that works, transition to it, and get better and faster at it. It's a complete book, but it does rely on a single, overarching premise. That you buy into the idea of the Pose Method of running. The book's primary author, Dr. Nicholas Romanov, is listed as the creator of the method, with decades of coachin [...]

    3. This was a good book for adjusting your running position to a better pain free one. I've got a half marathon in a few months and a full marathon following. This book might be one to return to to give the workouts a try but I'll refer to a marathon training book first.

    4. Original star rating - 2. I've since gone back through the book to pick apart a few useful tools to help me, as such I've bumped my rating to a 4. I expected a more thorough approach in the explanations regarding the type of shoe section. The pose method of running is well known, but it is not the only way to approach running. With a title using the word "revolution", I expected a lot more new information or scientific studies. I would have appreciated more investigation into the benefits of str [...]

    5. Running is a skillFinally! Running can and should be taught as a skill. Just because you can run does not mean that you are good at it. Romanov has used his experience as a coach and created "the pose method" an efficient way of running. With this book you will learn this method. Practical exercises for running, strength and mobility. How to coach yourself and fine tune your technique. Videos in the book are magnificent and complement the book extremely well. And lastly you will get programs you [...]

    6. A good guide to the running for life, injury free. All things we do in life are bounded by rules of the world. We can do the same thing differently, but we may not be efficient in getting the desired outcome. This book explained the technicality of how to run efficiently, to produce a better result and yet maintain injury free.

    7. This book had a ton of information but it was a little too technical for me. I guess it’s my fault for not reading the description better. I did enjoy the information and there are a lot of useful exercises in here so it will probably stay on my coffee table to pull from when I’m working on body weight exercises. If you are a recreational runner I think there is some good info in here for you but it may be a little more technical than you need. The reason I give this 3 stars only is mainly b [...]

    8. Truly a new way to runNever thought I would see the evolution of running unfold before my eyes. In the 1970's we were taught to always run heel to toe. That was wrong. I can't even begin to Imagine the injuries caused by this strategy. Well then was then. Now we have a much, much better way to train. This is the wave of things to come. This book will be a must read, in the future. I'm sure of it. If you run for any reason, you need this book. It will blow your mind. Great read.

    9. The thesis of this book is that there is One True Running Form, which the author distilled by observing great runners. I'm afraid that's not a very convincing argument. That being said, I'm open to the idea that some of the ideas he puts forth are good for everyone and might make an effort to incorporate them in my own running. But the prescribed adoption plan seems ridiculously slow/light. Stop all my current running and do these 10 minute workout/drills for a few months? No thanks.

    11. This Book is totally unique comparing to other running books . Because the other books talk about how to eat good, training programs, tempo run , interval training and etc, but this book is focusing on how to run correctly ? step by step , I think Nicholas Romanov did a great job by explaing every single details of running frames. As a begning runner it was a little bit difficult for me to understand and practicing every lesson but honestly by the time my speed and comfortablity during running i [...]

    12. This was the first full-on running book I have ever read so I have nothing to compare this to AND I didn't follow the program he has included so I can't honestly say it works 100%. What I CAN say, however, is that it's a very interesting read if you've never looked in-depth at running as a sport and would like to further consider your technique. Romanov does a great job breaking down how we run, why we run that way, and what we can do to fix common issues to better our form, make running more en [...]

    14. As someone who is very interested in running form and how it can help me improve and enjoy myself as a runner, the content is great. Anyone who has started to think about things like foot strike, cadence, minimalist footwear, etc will find it an enlightening read. The reason for the three-star review is that I find the explanations (even with illustrations) can be difficult to follow. I understand that the author is coming from a performance background as an athlete and coach so it's not surprisi [...]

    15. This book is fascinating, and the techniques in it are worth trying. Just from reading through it, and picking up on some of the pre-run exercises, I've noticed better strength in my calves, in muscles I knew about but never fully grasped. Plus, my active sciatic pain dulled and nearly disappeared, just standing in the ready-to-run pose suggested. I definitely intend to do a more thorough, week-by-week read of this as I go through it, though my initial review remains the same-- this is definitel [...]

    16. A giveaway, that I unfortunately have not read until now. This book is more like a workbook, instructing the Pose method of running. I took the liberty of doing some background work prior to reading this book by watching some youtube videos of Romanov coaching this method. The book is easy to follow even for a novice runner like me. It is packed with photos and diagrams to help illustrate the learning points. Definitely a good book for anyone concerned with running form and injury prevention.

    17. I won this book in a give-awayThis book came at a perfect time for me. For years, I start running and within a few month, foot pain forces me to stop. It has been a vicious cycle. After reading this book, I now feel like I have the knowledge to be able to change the way I run and avoid the foot pain I have always experienced. I look forward to trying out this new method. The book was very well written, clear, and concise.

    18. Was a well organized book and was easy to follow. Was fairly straightforward and held my attention. It is a great book for someone who is currently dealing with injuries or has previously dealt with them. However, if you are looking for the benefits that running injury free will give you I would recommend you look somewhere else. As a runner I enjoyed the content this book had to offer and would definitely recommend this book to someone who is just starting out as a runner.

    19. Amazing. Helped me on Day 1. Wish I had known about this in high school and had someone to teach me the proper running technique. But better late than never. By using the POSE method I am running using less energy, going faster and not getting injured. If you can't find a local coach, the online video program is only $5 a month for 3 months. Its worth the time.

    20. This is a great book for anyone who wants to be a runner.Unfortunately for me, my stamina never grew. After one minute I lose breath and I'm near-wheezing, even when it's not cold out (I don't have asthma). But this book helped me with stretching exercises and allowed me to realize some of the wrong things I was doing before when I had attempted running.

    21. This is an excellent book for anyone, whether novice or experienced runner, looking to improve their running technique. It is a short and easy to follow guide to transitioning to POSE running. My only criticism is the that strength training portion seems insufficient. Otherwise, I would highly recommend to those interested in learning how to run using the POSE method.

    22. I started reading this book after I got the runner knee injury and I think that this book has the most valuable information about running I have ever read, a real truth about how running works and how you can improve your running techniques step by step. I would say it's a must a read for any runner regardless beginner, professional or even elite.

    23. Wow! I enjoyed this so much that I read it in one afternoon/evening!Full Disclosure: I followed the book's opening advice, which says to read the entire book before commencing with the exercises. Now the hard but fun part begins!

    24. I liked it - but just like Chi Running I'm not entirely sure everyone needs to subscribe to a particular form to be successful. However there are some great tips, exercises, and the like in here along with body mechanics that I found immensely helpful.

    25. This is a really quick read and I'm fascinated by the idea. I'm going to try the method and see if it works for me, but I'm not sure it's the best option as I have chronic plantar fasciitis and Achilles tendinitis. But, I'm willing to give it a try.

    26. Liked the practical approach with lots of pictures and no fluff. Easy and fast to read and there is a one month coaching program to learn the method. Just aquired a barefoot shoe, will start learning the pose method.

    27. Excellent. The addition of Kurt Brungardt as a cowriter helped make this a much clearer book then Dr. Romanov's previous work on the pose method for triathlon. This is better organized, and a more applicable and comprehensive program for runners to initiate on their own.
