    1. Change of Pace But Torrid AgainNevada cop Alex Dominguez has quit his job, packed his bag, scraped together some cash and taken off to Scotland to confront Rory Drummond, the laird of his life who left Alex, and we trusting readers, in a lurch at the end of "Nevada Highlander." Rory, that idiot, is holed up in his family castle drinking himself into oblivion because he can't figure out how to get Alex back. Alex solves that problem by showing up on the castle doorstep, and for just a few moments [...]

    2. First I must thank this author for bringing us to Scotland (top of my bucket list!) and giving us a glimpse at her splendor!Rory and Alex, they are explosive, down and dirty, and so in loveeven if they have trouble with the words. I'm a huge fan of knowing what happens after the "Happily Ever After" and seeing these two navigate life as a "couple" was perfect. Alex has taken a big risk following Rory to Scotland, but he never loses sight of who he is. A hard working man who needs to make his own [...]

    3. As the story of Alex Dominguez and Rory Drummond continues, the relationship between them grows and strengthens. Once again, Ms. O’Quinn uses her descriptive imagery to transport the reader to Scotland, making it so easy to “see” absolutely everything. Rory’s sudden realization on how to handle Alex and his seeming bid for independence brought tears to my eyes. With the added touch of a murder mystery, this story grips you and doesn’t let go until the final word. Another 5-star read, i [...]

    4. Much better than the first one but that isn't saying much. 2.5 starsI only read this because I needed it for Scavenger Hunt. I intended to read it as fast as I could, skimming the sex scenes, since the first in the series was so awful, but it turned out to be readable if not quite good. The biggest part I had a problem with was with how the dog was treated. I'm going to hide that part behind spoiler tags so you don't have to plow through my rant if you're not interested. The good:The sex is pret [...]

    5. I read the first book and my only real problem with that one was the author used or tried to use poetical prose for the sex scenes but it made it feel rather juvenile. This time she didn't do that (ass much) but seemed to try and do it throughout the whole story. The plot was ok and I liked the MCs but I hate the author's writing style. It really makes the book drag when a whole paragraph is used to describe something that could be described well and with flair in maybe 2 sentences!
