    1. Dollycas’s ThoughtsMaddie Day has given this series a fine start.Robbie Jordan is a woman of many talents, business owner, cook, carpenter, and now amateur sleuth. She opens her country store/restaurant with a fabulous turnout only the whole thing put into jeopardy when someone kills the witchy assistant to the mayor and sets up Robbie to take the fall. She doesn’t “flip” out but she does her best to flatten the killer and ride her bike off into the sunset. Not quite how it happens thoug [...]

    2. FLIPPED FOR MURDER, book one in the Country Store Mystery series by Maddie Day was everything I hoped it would be and more! This delicious new mystery won me on page one. The rest of the story was a full course meal that left me happily satiated.I adored lead character, Robbie Jordan right away. Her character is filled with kindness, enthusiasm, and determination. She was a joy to read and get to know. I look forward to spending more time with her in future installments. The entire supporting ca [...]

    3. Robbie Jordan has just moved from California to Brown County, Indiana where she finds life a lot slower and easier as well as realizing her dream of having her own country store and small restaurant. Pans 'n Pancakes is in South Lick, IN but people are soon finding out that Robbie's food is much tastier than her rival, Ed's, who has his restaurant in neighboring Nashville, IN. When the disagreeable assistant to the new mayor is found murdered and Robbie becomes a person of interest in the case, [...]

    4. Two REALLY good firsts in series in a row! That hasn't happened in awhile! I like Robbie, her aunt and the rest of the cast of characters in the small Indiana town of South Lick. The people and town remind me of southern Ohio where I was raised. Robbie's mom has recently passed away and she's getting over a bad marriage, so she returns to the place she spent her summers when she was growing up. She's just opened her restaurant/country store, Pans 'n Pancakes, when the mayor's assistant is found [...]

    5. Robbie Jordan has been working hard to open Pan ‘n Pancakes in South Lick, Indiana, and her hard work is paying off. On opening day, the place is packed, and her new customers seem to really like the food. Unfortunately, that afternoon, the disagreeable assistant at city hall is murdered with one of Robbie’s signature biscuits in her mouth. Worried that her status as a murder suspect will ruin her fledgling business, Robbie begins to investigate. But can she find the real killer? This is a wo [...]

    6. I was provided with an advance uncorrected proof of Flipped for Murder, and this is my fair and honest review. In Flipped for Murder, Robbie Jordan has recently left behind her West Coast life and a cheating ex-husband for a fresh start and a return to family roots in quaint South Lick, Indiana. Robbie jumps into this new life completely when she decides to open Pans 'n Pancakes, a combination breakfast/lunch spot and cookware shop in the heart of town. It's not long before her superior cooking s [...]

    7. Shortly after her mother's death, transplanted Californian Robbie Jordan sets up shop in the small Indiana town where her Mother grew up. Part restaurant, part vintage cookware store, Pans'N'Pancakes places proprietress Robbie Jordan firmly in the tradition of other sleuthing shopkeepers and cooks after the mayor's disagreeable assistant turns up dead with one of Robbie's cheese biscuits in her mouth.Sometimes you just want a cozy little murder mystery - and from that perspective debut novel Fli [...]

    8. A take-charge protagonist, a fun cast of characters (with a few odd ones mixed in), and a small town Indiana setting made this one of the best cozies I’ve read in a long time. The surprises that popped up along the way sure kept me guessing, but the conclusion was logical and delightfully satisfying. This was a down home heckuva good series debut.

    9. This is the first book in the new "Country Store Mystery" series. I have had this one on my tablet for awhile and now that I have read it, I wish I had gotten to it sooner. I will definitely be checking out the rest in this series. A 4.5 star read for me. In Flipped for Murder, Robbie Jordan has recently moved back to her hometown of South Lick Indiana and opened a quaint restaurant and cookware shop called Pans 'n Pancakes. Her mother had recently died in California and her marriage to a cheati [...]

    10. This is a great book to read while sitting in the back yard under an umbrella. What a fun story with clear imagery and a good who dun it! Looking forward to the next in the series

    11. Synopsis:In this freshly baked series, author Maddie Day lifts the lid on a small town in southern Indiana, where a newcomer is cooking up a new start--until a murderer muddles the recipeNursing a broken heart, Robbie Jordan is trading in her life on the West Coast for the rolling hills of southern Indiana. After paying a visit to her Aunt Adele, she fell in love with the tiny town of South Lick. And when she spots a For Sale sign on a rundown country store, she decides to snap it up and put her [...]

    12. First, thank you to Kensington Books for an advanced copy in exchange for an honest review. Flipped For Murder is the first in a new series located in small town southern Indiana. Robbie Jordan has just opened her new country store/diner, Pans & Pancakes (why not Pots & Pancakes? hmm.) when the mayor's assistant is found murdered. There was a lot to like about the story; the characters were charming, a picturesque locale, and I enjoyed the local lingo. I live in Indiana and hear many of [...]

    13. This book was great. I loved every minute reading it. It is a first in a new series and I can hardly wait for the next installment. You have Robbie who is the owner of Pan's N Pancakes in a little town called South Lick, Indiana. She along with a few friends are running her dream of restaurant ownership. Robbie is such a fun character. She loves to bike, drink red wine, cook, and do puzzles. She also has a handsome lawyer vying for her attention. What could go wrong? I really enjoyed how the auth [...]

    14. A fun new series from an author whose other work I have enjoyed in the past. The location is perfectly described and very quaint (and I think it's the first cozy series I've read that takes place in Indiana!), the characters are charming and engaging, and the entire experience is fun.I loved the way the main character makes her mother, who is deceased, a major part of the story. She thinks about/talks about her often, as does her aunt. It's just the sort of thing you would expect in real life.Th [...]

    15. A wonderful new series set in a country store nestled in the Hoosier hills. Robbie Jordan is a wonderfully talented, bright, fun and smart protagonist for what I'm sure will be a long running series. Pans and Pancakes is the innovative setting for this small town of quirky characters. Running the store/restaurant, riding her bike, attracting the attention of two attractive men, dodging bullets and cleaning up rat poop are all in a days work for this intrepid heroine. A truly enjoyable set of sup [...]

    16. This book, set in southern Indiana, is a good introduction of a new series. Robbie Jordan has recently moved to this area from California, and has just opened her own restaurant, where she also sells vintage cookware. There is a murder to solve, especially as Robbie has possibly been named a "person of interest" in the investigation. The book is well plotted, and I found the characters likeable and well developed. I plan to continue this series.

    17. Loved everything about this story. The heroine didn't find the murderer, he/she found her, the characters are wonderful and the plots were good. Can't wait for the next one.

    18. This was a fun debut book for the author and the series. I'm a total sucker for a store owner turned sleuth searching for a murderer. A breakfast place with delicious sounded meals and a strong and confident owner makes it even better. I was quickly intrigued by this book and the murder had be stumped. This was a case of too many suspects, but not enough actual clues. Robbie has her work cut out for her in the town where she is an outsider trying to keep her business afloat (despite competitors [...]

    19. Rounding this rating up to a 4 from a 3.5. This series has a lot of potential and I will continue to read it, but the first book had some slow parts for me. I do love the idea behind it though!

    20. I received an ARC of this book via NetGalley in exchange for my fair and honest review.Flipped For Murder is the first in a new series by the talented author Maddie Day.In the quaint little town of South Lick, Indiana, you will find the warm, cozy restaurant known as Pans N’ Pancakes. This country style restaurant is owned by Ms.Robbie Jordan who has made her dream come true. The author's description of this rustic eatery is wonderful, I can picture the vintage cookware lining the walls and I [...]

    21. Robbie Jordan has moved from the West coast to Southern Indiana where she has opened a country store/ breakfast and lunch restaurant. The restaurant sounds lovely and like a place I would like to go to eat breakfast. The "country store" part is that she sells cookware, particularly old cookware. The mayor's assistant is shot and is found with one of Robbie's Cheesy Biscuits in her mouth. Of course suspicion falls on Robbie. Later, other evidence points to Robbie. But the chief of police is good [...]

    22. 2.5 stars. Competent, but not spectacular. This was supremely silly. I think this might spell a bit of a halt on the cozy mystery run for a while, but we shall see. I just, it is so tedious when the victim is so universally hated that literally everyone is a suspect. That makes the mystery aspect less fun. Although, this one gets points for not having the main character dance around the love interest for four books. Points subtracted for a potential triangle. It's reasonably entertaining. But ever [...]

    23. Review:  FLIPPED FOR MURDER by Maddie Day [Country Store Mysteries #1]A delightfully enticing and tasty cozy mystery set in Southern Indiana (a scenic region that doesn't receive enough fictional attention, in my view), FLIPPED FOR MURDER is a page-turner starring Robbie (Roberta) Jordan, former chef, daughter of a cabinetmaker mother. After her Mother's demise, Robbie visits tiny South Link, Indiana, home of her aunt Adele and her Mother's hometown, and falls head over heels with the community [...]

    24. The first in a new series. I noticed many of my friends were adding it and decided to read it. I was not disappointed as I found the characters were developed and the writing excellent. Robbie Jordan has open a country restaurant that has long been her dream. Problems occur that were not suspected. Someone is trying to shut her down with dirty tricks. There is number of individuals that don't like the idea of the store. Before long Robbie becomes the major suspect in a murder. She needs answers [...]

    25. This is the first book in the Country Store Mystery series. After the the renovation work and time Robbie Jordan had put in her new store/diner Pan 'n Pancakes in South Lick, Indiana is finally opening. The place is packed the former d is good, what Robbie doesn't expect is to be the prime murder suspect when Stella a disagreeable and not well liked woman ends up dead. This a a fast paced story with mystery to keep you turning the pages and great characters.Looking forward to the next book in the [...]

    26. I am hooked on another series. Fipped for Murder provides exactly what I look for in a cozy mystery, a good plot, a strong main characters, and great interaction with other characters.

    27. I waffled between enjoying this cozy mystery and feeling that it just fell flat. (9/11/15)I received an ARC from NetGalley! (9/1/15)
