    1. Full review on Prism Book Alliance®Connor’s writing style leans more towards telling than showing, but it blends in quite well with the story and characters. Speaking of, all of the main and most of the supporting characters are likeable and fulfill believable friendships, which I always enjoy.Mikey is the main character, one could say, as this story in the series involves his struggles with starting to live life on his own, away from his parents who are not accepting of and sometimes barely [...]

    2. We start the story with Mikey, a young man, living with friends, kicked out for being gay, but making his own life, about to lose his job because he’s being sued for inappropriate actions.Mikey’s not all alone, however, he’s got good friends and two boyfriends.Mikey is just starting a relationship with Cory and Jimmy – two older men in an established relationship – and though he cares about them and vice versa, he doesn’t really know where he stands with them. As a result things have [...]

    3. I liked this book and am keen to read more by this author. Her books are getting better and better.I liked the characters. I thought the author did a good job of showing the MCs' developing love and connection with each other. I love drag queens - unless they are awful people. I enjoyed their lives. Note to anyone who reads this: if you are being prosecuted for child molestation, don't go to the lawyer who practices personal injury law, and wants to move into criminal law! Go find someone who ha [...]

    4. I enjoyed it more than part one. Still there was something missing. The relationship didn't feel as complete as the author intended it to be.

    5. 5 Heart Review by CindyAs someone who was a huge fan of the first book in this series, I was dying to get my hands on this one and for good reason.Wayward Son tells the story of Mikey, whom we met briefly in the first book. He’s a young man who’s finally coming into his own after getting away from his religious parents who couldn’t accept that he was gay.Falling for Mikey is easy. He’s sweet and has a good heart. He’s determined to prove to everyone whoever doubt him that he can take c [...]

    6. 3.5 Stars - Reviewed for The Novel ApproachThe first book in this series, Unfortunate Son, had been hanging out on my wish list for awhile when I saw that Wayward Son was going to be coming out, so I figured it was the perfect time to get it and not have to wait for the book two. Unfortunate Son was better than I had expected, and I stayed up way past my bedtime since I couldn’t force myself to put it down. I finished it and couldn’t wait for Mikey, Cory and Jimmy’s story. We get a glimpse [...]

    7. A Joyfully Jay review. 4.5 starsThis is the second book in Connor’s Sons series, and it can definitely be read as a standalone. But I admit that I’ve been waiting for it ever since I knew it was coming out. Having met Jimmy, Cory, and Mikey in the previous book ramped up my desire to read their story. And it didn’t disappoint. Especially not the romance aspects of this book. There were a couple of other plot points that left me just a little bit wanting, but overall, I thoroughly enjoyed t [...]

    8. Having won a copy of Wayward Son from Shae Connor, I felt I needed to read Unfortunate Son first, and I’m glad I bought it. Wayward Son can be read alone, but the great cast of characters are introduced in the previous book in an excellent story. I loved both books, but enjoyed Wayward Son a little more, for several reasons. I liked how Mikey was attracted to Cory and was willing to see if he could fit into Cory’s relationship with Jimmy, both of whom have very strong personalities. Mikey do [...]

    10. Sadly I didn't realize it couldn't be read as a standalone and felt like I was missing a huge part of these guys story. Other than that it was good.
