    1. Where Light Meets Shadow by Shawna Reppert is an engaging mix of fantasy and romance. War nearly destroyed the culture of the Scathlan elves, and left their queen in a comatose state. Kieran has been traveling the mortal lands in search of new songs and scraps of legend. There are tales of powerful bards who could heal with song. If he could find these songs, learn them, he may be able to save his queen.Caught in a blizzard near the border of his enemies, the Leas elves, Kieran is discovered by [...]

    2. As a player of an Anglo-Saxon Lyre/Harp, I'm a sucker for books with harp players in them. I picked this book up for that, but I stayed to read it for the relationship between 'light' and 'shadow'. I really enjoy books about honour, friendship and love, and this one had them in spades!

    3. hmmmm I am conflicted. I stopped reading fairly early because I felt the "ease" which they put behind their animosity as enemies was not realistic. I liked the writting and the setting. While they are both elves their two peoples have different expectations about loved duty and which is more important. The romance developed slowly, and carefully, since they both had reasons that it shouldn't happen at all. The weaving of the bardic and healing magic was [...]
