    1. 4 starsA nice small town romance. Some drama, romance, likable characters and art. It is also a clean read. Retired army captain Zach Zelinsky has come back to his home town after he was fired from the Army.He has some problems with nightmares. Zach bought a building. He plans to have a glass blowing studio and shop. There is two apartments above that he plans to live above.Ginger Carleton has a tea shop in half the building and lives in the other apartment above the shop. She is busy volunteeri [...]

    2. This tale nicely describes a New England late winter/early spring, with a town trying to keep busy and shopkeepers trying to stay in business. A young man has come home from army service as a captain and is turning his hand to glass blowing and selling from a studio. This makes him the landlord of the lady who runs the café next door. This relationship means that they can't get too familiar but anyway the dainty red-haired young woman wants to be independent and succeed. That would be easier if [...]

    4. I was very happy with the way that this story turned out as it was super sweet, immensely charming and an altogether feel-good romance that readers should definitely consider adding to their TBR list. The bases of the story had an inspiring small town appeal that I vastly enjoy seeing in any romance. Yet the book itself was a bit different as the backdrop of the plot is centered around Valentine's Day. This theme might be fairly simple to some readers, but I consider the idea to be not only roman [...]

    5. A sweet, emotional story about a couple, trying to find their place in the world, learning to trust, and love, while creating some fascinating glass art.First, I have to say, the glass work that Zach was doing, and teaching others to do, was inspiring. The author managed to pull me in that process completely, and I was hooked. Amazing, really.Zach and Ginger are both in a crossroads in their lives, even though Ginger doesn't really accept that fact. I enjoyed their interaction with each other, i [...]

    6. It was an absolute treat to read this sweet deliciousness on Valentine's Day! It would have been good any day, though! Ginger is renting a building to sell her tea to a new owner, Zach. He is a wounded warrior who appears to be a gruff, but talented glass maker. Ginger is patient and they both discover what they can do to help each other. Slowly they realize the best thing is a steady faith and faithful love. Treat yourself to this book!I gratefully received this book as a result of a giveaway. [...]

    7. A Soldier's Valentine is a well written work featuring two solid, hurting characters who hold the key to helping the other heal. Zach and Ginger are likable characters. They're intelligent, interesting, spunky (okay, only Ginger is spunky) and are both overcoming scars of the past that up until this time have held them back. I loved that the author didn't feel the need to 'fix them' before the story could finish. I also love the interesting descriptions of the glass blowing scenes; beautiful and [...]

    8. A Soldier's Valentine by Jenna Mindel is part of a series of books set in Maple Springs, Michigan. It does well as a stand alone. It is a story of emotional growth and healing as retired army captain Zach Zelinsky deals with his tenant and opens his glass business. The wounded warrior and tenant grow and develop dreams as you only can in a small town . The whole town is on their side. A wonderful read that reminds you that dreams change and grown but you have to be open to them.

    9. This is an excellent book. Zach wants Ginger's space and Ginger doesn't want to give it up. Who is the winner. I loved this book , It was an easy clean read. You will not be disappointed.

    10. This was a sweet story! I loved both Ginger and Zach, and enjoyed watching their love develop. Neither character was perfect, both had past hurts and things to overcome, but watching them learn to let go and love was special. I haven't read Falling for the Mom-to-Be, the first book in the series, but that didn't hinder reading this book - in fact, I now want to read that book as I love seeing Annie and Matthew's relationship in this story. If you enjoy inspirational romance, I recommend A Soldie [...]

    11. This story takes place in Maple Springs, Michigan. Ginger Carleton runs a local tea shop. She has organized a parade welcoming Zach Zelinsky home. He is a retired army captain and he is also her new landlord. He will be running a glassblowing business in the space next door to Ginger's tea shop. Ginger is also organizing a town campaign for business owners to decorate their windows for Valentines Day. Ginger wants to win the contest because of the statewide advertising that would help her failin [...]

    12. Because of budget cuts Zach is retired from the Army. While in the military he fell in love with glass blowing. So he purchases a building with two shops in it from an elderly lady. The shop that is next to him is leased by a young woman, Ginger, who owns a tea shop. Ginger is struggling with fiances, but can't shut down the shop. It's the only thing she's succeeded at. But when Zach raises the rent, she's put into a real bind. His offer to work in his shop in conjunction with her own is an answ [...]

    13. Loved this book! When Zach Zelinsky returns from his final tour of duty, his hometown holds a parade in his honor. Maple Springs, MI is doing all it can to put itself on the map and his new tenant, Ginger Carleton, is leading the charge. All Zach wants is to be left alone to create works of art in his glass studio but the lovely distraction next door keeps intruding on his solitude.Ginger believes that her tea shop is her last chance to prove to her father that she is worth something. When Zach [...]

His last tour had been giving him nightmares. He thinks it was his fault his troop got hit and most of the men dies and he only had a scratch. He buys a storefront building in his home town. 15. "The descriptions and originality of the window displays are fantastic. While Ginger is an upbeat character, she has relatable struggles pertaining to her self-worth. This is a great read for the holiday" (RT Book Reviews, 4 stars).Miniseries: Maple Springs
