    1. (I chose this book for the fantasy category.)Monsters Go Night-Night is a delightful book for very young children. Each two page spread features a monster performing a task to prepare for bed and choices for your child. For instance, the text reads, "Monsters eat bedtime snacks. Which snack do monsters eat?" And there are pictures of a glass of milk, a carrot, a slice of bread, and an umbrella. Flip the page and the monster is, of course, eating the umbrella! I think this book is so fun because [...]

In that context, they are the ultimate expertsey are the ones that can know and access whether a book is engaging for their audience. Monsters Go Night-Night is one of those books! It's the kind of book that produces lots of laughter and an equal amount of smiles. 3. Monsters Go Night-Night is a zany and humorous tale about monsters at bedtime.Children will delight in helping the monsters get ready for bed. However, the monsters decisions about how to clean their teeth, which toy to cuddle with, and what's best for bathing are sure to leave little ones laughing. I loved the adorable illustrations and the playful tone in which the story is conveyed. The text is simple yet encourages children to interact with the characters, helping them become part of the fun [...]

    4. There is no reason to be afraid of monsters, especially these fun Monsters. Have you ever wondered what a Monster snuggles with, or what they wear to bed? You'll find out in this book! Be prepared to laugh a lot when you read this book. It's the perfect length for bed time, and short attention spans. 5. This will be a storytime hit for sure. It encourages listener involvement as children try to guess the answer to a nighttime question posed on almost every other spread (such as "What kind of pajamas do monsters wear?"). The answers will elicit rounds of giggles.Illustrations are bright and cheery; the monsters cavorting merrily about are cuddly and friendly, and will not frighten little ones.

    6. Monsters don't get ready for bed in quite the same way as human children. But young children are bound to get a kick out of the humor inherent in this quick, fun read. The cute illustrations perfectly complement the funny questions that young children are sure to enjoy answering in as silly a manner as possible.

    14. This is a fun look at the ways little monsters get ready to go to bed. While not exactly what your child may do as a daily routine, the silliness in this story will make them laugh and you may find your little one a little more willing to hit the hay with this story in their thoughts. Great last read of the day.

    16. Aaron Zenz has long been one of my favorite author/illustrators, and a lot of that has to do with his very quirky humor. So what does it say about me that I could guess most of the choices the monsters were going to make? :) Delightful, and sure to be a hit with the toddler and preschool crowd.

    17. Cute interactive book where the child decides what the monsters want to snack on, brush their teeth with, dress in, etc. And all the answers are funny unexpected answers.
