    1. I was lucky enough to have won a copy of Granville during the release party on Facebook, but that's not why I'm writing this review. It would be too easy to just write a fluff piece and hope that people buy this book. I had planned on buying this anyway. All it took was the front cover. I saw that and knew that I wanted to read this book. I read a blurb a few hours later and then I had to read this book. A cover can say a lot about a book and just seeing that image was all I needed. When I got m [...]

    2. Watch out world, this is what happens when you push someone too far. Great tale of revenge and a boy finally standing up for himself !!

    3. Stanley is a loser who loves masked serial killers, horror and thoughts of revenge. He has made many masks over the years and when he puts on his latest, he becomes Granville. Let the bloodshed flow. The town is now gripped in terror as Granville roams wild until the great twist at the end of the book. A very dark and twisted tale with well developed characters, lots of blood and gore. I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves the horror genre.

    4. I've been a HUGE fan of David Owain Hughes for awhile now, he is an imaginative, graphic, and absolutely brilliant writer. This is the first book I've read of his where he's partnered up. I hadn't yet heard of Alice J. Black until I won her ebook 'The Doors' at a book release party on Facebook. It's a YA book and David is the antithesis of YA so I was extremely curious and maybe even a little concerned about the mesh and flow of this union.Well, I had no need to worry. This was a tantalizing, ho [...]

    5. 'Granville’ by Alice J. Black and David Owain Hughes is the first book I have read by either of these two authors. Alice J. Black has recently popped up in a couple of anthologies and debuted with her YA novel ‘The Doors’ in 2014. David Owain Hughes likes to write a more visceral, bloody and gory style of horror (which I love!) He has been very busy of late with appearances in various anthologies as well as releasing his own works such as ‘Wind-Up Toy’. ‘Granville’ is a slasher sty [...]

    6. What a ride!!I began this book thinking I had an idea where this book was goingI was wrong! Boy, was I wrong! The ending totally took me by surprise; an ending not at all expected, given the way the story had played out up to that point. Well worth the read. Very entertaining.

    7. Wow! What a book! Held me captive all the way through, with such an ending I can't think straight to write a review.

    8. Great Read!I really enjoyed the storyline. The author really got into the main character's psyche. The storyline is doesn't miss a beat; it was paced beautifully. The story is about a kid who gets picked on at school. He can't seem to catch a break at home or at school. He is into masks, and he finds a cool mask. Along with the mask comes a new persona. He starts calling himself Granville. One day he snaps. He starts killing his classmates, his mother, and teachers. He has a crush on a girl who [...]

    9. Classic. Granville is one of those dark, twisted, twisty tales I could easily visualize, and that is why I read - to see it, feel it, be there. This collaboration works! Black and Hughes are a delightfully imaginative writing duo. Horror fans will relate to Stanley. Love him! A masked serial killer blood bodies but with a little something more. Once the inviting artwork drags you in, you'll be glad you made time to take this ride - all the way through to the end.
