    1. When President Dieter F Uchtdorf gave this talk in an LDS General Conference, my heart was touched so much. How delighted I was to walk into Deseret Book yesterday and see that his talk had been made into a beautiful book, filled with lovely illustrations, including the painting of the pioneer girl that I had grown to love. I laughed and cried as I read the bookd then read it again taking notes on those things I want to apply in my life.

    2. While this talk can be found for free on the lds website, Deseret Book has done a beautiful job turning the story into a beautiful gift book. The inclusion of the painting that is mentioned in the story is a particularly nice touch. The rest of the illustrations in the book are by the same artist as the painting (see cover) and are beautifully done. The illustrations and decorations make this a truly gorgeous book. But of course the story told within is what makes the book so powerful. This is a [...]

    3. Remember the charming talk President Uchtdorf gave in the women's session a year ago? The text is reprinted as this charming book! I loved the illustrations by Salvador Alvarez, and reading this talk again now that I've gone through different experiences has new meaning. Thanks to my friend Lori for gifting me this beautiful book!

    4. I loved this book. Knowing that as long as we have Faith, Hope and Love in our lives we can be happy. Instead of letting things get to us and allowing the trials and bad things in life make us miserable, look at all the good things in life. Yes, I know this is hard sometimes but honestly we have so much to be grateful in this wonderful life we just have to look for it and really see it.

    5. This book is based on Pres. Uchtdorf's memorable talk from LDS Women's Conference. I love the messages in this parable about faith, hope, and finding happiness no matter our circumstances. Loved the illustrations by Salvador Alvarez also! Great book!

    6. What a beautiful story about understanding how faith, hope and love can bring peace and joy. I love that peace and joy are byproducts of other virtues. It makes them attainable no matter what our circumstances might be. It's hard to bring our will in line with the Lord's sometimes, but that's faith and faith has the most beautiful fruit. What a tender and wise Great Aunt Eva had!

    7. Elder Uchtdorf is one of my favorite inspirational speakers and I expected this story to be as wonderful as everything else he's done. It's not that I didn't like it. It was a cute little 'message' book with adorable illustrations. However, although it appeared in the 'grown-ups' section of the catalog my husband ordered from, it definitely should have been in the section for (maybe) children. It turned out to have only 36 pages, which would have been a fair length for a short story condensing an [...]

    8. I loved the talk when it was given, and I love having this little book now with its beautiful illustrations to read as a pick-me-up whenever I need.

    9. it's a wonderful quick read. very inspiring story that makes you want to change your outlook on life and be happier.

    10. Cute story of Eva who spends the summer with her Great aunt Rose. At first she is miserable, and as she notices and gets to know Rose, she finds out where Rose gets her happiness.

    11. I love this story. It's from a LDS General Conference talk that President Dieter F. Uchtdorf gave in 2015. Very inspiring.
