I am a writer by passion, a marine scientist by training, and a curmudgeon by nature My short stories and rants, er, I mean essays, have appeared in a number of print and online journals In my first novel, Marina Melee, George Marshall escapes the rat race and heads to the Caribbean only to discover living the easy life is hard work My second novel, Ye Gods A Tale of Dogs and Demons, is a madcap tale of monsters, gods, and magic run amok on a tropical island In the sequel, The Un Familiar, the chupacabra returns and this time he s brought friendsd maybe even an enemy or two.I currently live in Charleston, South Carolina where I support my writing habit by teaching college biology classes I get my water fix at our beautiful beaches and, often, in the water hazards on our lovely golf courses That s the setting for a future novel about four golf buddies who won t let anything interfere with their daily round of golf not even death To find out about me and what I m working on, visit me at lynnehinkey, on Facebook at Marina Melee by Lynne Hinkey, or on twitter LMHinkey.

The zany cast of characters barrel through this fast-paced romp, surprised at every turn. The chupacabra has returned and is not pleased. His familiar Señora Milagros Isabela Hernán de Santiago is having the seriously worst Monday of all time. Having retired, she is unamused when she wakes up in the middle of a hurricane as herself and not th [...]
