    1. If you need a good laugh, this book is for you. If you watch silly television programs like Married at First Sight, this book is for you. It is a fast and funny read.A website in London marries off two subscribers for publicity. Adam is a British video game reviewer who ends up married to Jessica, an American doing graduate work in Nutrition. The computer proclaimed them a perfect match but both of them were not entirely honest when they filled out their profiles. Adam and Jessica received a gla [...]

    2. I seriously love Nick Spadling. There have been only one book that was a miss for me so far. The other ones have been hilarious though. In "Mad Love" Spalding takes a look at a man (Adam) and woman (Jessica) who agree to get married via a dating website (Sociality). With the promise of a new flat that they can call their own and a split of thousands of pounds Adam and Jessica are trying their best to give their marriage a go. But they both realize that when one tends to fib (lie people) on their [...]

    4. I recall laughing out loud pretty much hysterically at Nick Spalding's previous book Bricking It, so when I spotted Mad Love, I figured I had to give it a go, to see if that was a one off or not. Yet again there was at least one scene and a one-liner else where that had me laughing pretty much uncontrollably. It seems as though this is an author that can continually hit my funny bone, and as a result I thoroughly enjoyed this whole book, which has a rather zany concept, that does seem to work. T [...]

    5. At first I wasn't sure what to make of the story because of how wacky the introductions were for the two main characters. Shortly after, I decided that this book is HILARIOUS! This is an adult romantic comedy that fulfills the promise of humor, satire, and laugh-out-loud humor at that. Really, I LOL'd. After reading this book, I really want to read more books by Spalding! I loved everything from the quippy writing style to the main characters Jess and Adam, plus their supporting cast, to the cra [...]

    6. Rating: 4.5/5.0Witty, intelligent and very very funny.I am not a big fan of humor or comedy genre books but this one was a big exception. I love everything about it and enjoyed it a lot. The three main characters Adam Holborne, Jessica Madison and Cassie McFlasterton are just hilarious. The situations and the events the characters go through are pathetically funny. The story is basically about this dating online website run by Cassie NcFlasterton which matches two persons together through an alg [...]

    7. Ok but not as good as his othersAs the title says, it was an ok read but not as easy reading as some of his other books. Not as much comedy and I think the romance side missed the mark with the ending seeming a bit rushed.

    8. On a lark, strangers Adam and Jessica complete a profile on the dating site, Sociality Adam did his passing time while sitting on the toilet and Jessica did hers with a buzz on from some wine. Needless to say, neither was completely honest in their answers. They are paired as compatible and the prize is a fabulous wedding, a posh apartment for a year and some cash. They both go ahead with it for their own reasons. As they live together, they discover the white lies each had told and that their p [...]

    9. Would you trust a dating app's algorithm so much that you would marry someone on first sight because the computer matched you with him or her? That's the situation Adam and Jessica find themselves in when their profiles are selected for a promotion that guarantees the site's foolproof ability to find two perfectly compatible singles. But, as expected, nothing goes quite as planned. Though many plot devices in this novel are fairly predictable, the two main characters are incredibly realistic and [...]

    10. The premise of this book is clever, and actually credible, given the current reality show mindset, and the lengths to which advertisers will go to promote their brand. Two strangers are thrown together in marriage as an advertising gimmick for an online dating service. The results are quite humorous. I smiled at many points in the book and laughed out loud a few times. This lighthearted and funny book was an enjoyable read. It reminded me of a romantic comedy, a mini-escape from the cares of eve [...]

    11. Mad love is a comedic look into what would happen if we let algorithms choose our spouses. Funny thing is, the algorithms don't account for human error or anomalies in their responses, so Jessica and Adam realise that they've got more than they bargained for when they were paired up with each other. As winners of an online dating sites social experiment who get to live rent free in a pricey area of London (and also get a fantastic cash prize), we follow Adam and Jessica through the first few mon [...]

    12. Nick Spalding is a fun author. It's chick lit by a guy. It really gives a fresh view from the male perspective. He's also so colorful in his language, you can't help but laugh a lot. I had a harder time staying interested in this one, as I felt it was pretty predictable. But I still really enjoyed itif that makes sense. I wasn't in a good place to appreciate it - because let's be honest, 99% of the chick lit genre is predictable. lol

    13. I thought the story would be entertaining, and in a way, it was. But it was also surprisingly.ture. There's a thing line between humor and immaturity, and I think this crossed over to the wrong side. It seems like something I would have written in middle/high school, if I were to be writing about online dating websites (which didn't exist back then) and marriage (which I didn't think about).

    14. This book started off promising, but then quickly went downhill. I absolutely hated both of the main characters. I thought they were very immature & annoying. Jessica is a spoiled brat and Adam is a wuss. I can't understand why anyone would want a relationship with either one of them. They both seemed to be kind of stupid. I had to skip to the end of the book just to be done with it. I will probably not be reading any more books by this author

    15. I think this had more promise than it delivered. it was fine and parts were funny, he has an excellent turn of phrase every once in a while but on the whole I didn't really like either of the main characters as they were immature and the end was rushed and kind of forced.I received a free advance reader copy of this book from the publisher via netgalley.

    16. I wasn't sure what kind of book I wanted to read, and something funny isn't usually what I have available or think of even reaching for. This book has forever changed my mindset on that. Comedy is definitely a genre I'll be checking out from right now, and if Nick Spalding is on that list, it's even better.Mad Love is about this dating website, Sociality, being so sure of its algorithms that they decide to choose the best matched couple and have them meet on their wedding day, paid for by Social [...]

    17. An honestly funny read. I did laugh out loud, and often at the absurd situations Jessica and Adam found themselves in, usually at the hand of Cassie, the publicity savvy, but totally unsympathetic business woman. This isn't a highly original story - falling in love after getting married has been done so many times in many formats - but we don't pick this kind of thing up for twists and shock endings - we pick it up because we know what the final destination will be and we want the author to take [...]

    18. "Mad Love" is a romantic comedy that is long on the comedy, if a bit short on the romance. Adam and Jessica both entered a dating website competition on a whim--only to discover that they've signed up, not for a blind date, but a blind marriage. Feeling fairly desperate about their housing situations, they agree to go through with this sight-unseen marriage in exchange for a nice flat in London and thirty thousand pounds. Only neither of them entered their information into the website all that c [...]

    19. This was a quick, amusing read which reminded me of binge-watching a romantic sitcom. The main characters are married at first sight as a marketing gimmick for an online dating site. Comedy ensues.Like all sitcoms, it probably goes over best with breaks between episodes, or else it all blurs into one silly situation/fight after another. There were a few odd bits, like the American character referring to miniature golf as "crazy golf," which I took from context to be the British name for it. That [...]

    20. Sociality is a dating website that promises their algorithms are the real deal. So much so, that they host a competition to marry off 2 of their subscribers. Adam and Jess are that couple. Except they hate each other, and so ensues an entire book about their squabbling, childish arguments and finally - their inevitable love for each other. If I could describe the book in 3 words, I'd say predictable, boring and annoying. I thought the book might be a light-hearted rom-com to listen to while I wa [...]

    21. This book was hilarious and had me rolling around on the floor. Jessica and Adam are all of us at some point. And watching their relationship unfold, was brilliant. I won't spoil it for others but there are twists and turns in this story you don't see coming. You spend a lot of energy preying for them to find their happiness and be kind to each other and when it looks like they will, they don't. Second book I've read from this author. I love his writing style, his ability to make us laugh, and r [...]

    22. Nick Spalding's books always deliver laughs and light relief and are great to read in between dark thrillers. Read this quickly and really enjoyed it. A modern comedy romance, Adam and Jessica meet for their first time at their wedding, bought together by an online dating agency in an elaborate publicity stunt to prove that 'love algorithms' work. Mishaps ensure as the seemingly mismatched pair try to discover if they have anything in common. A sweet story with some truly funny moments. Recommen [...]

    23. Lovely bit of humour and light relief. This Spalding saga follows a couple who each individually win a dating website competition to marry their match, based on algorithm software. The only probably is they both probably inflated their profiles and are more interested in the 30k cash price and year in a london penthouse than the actual marriage. What ensures is a hilarious series of love/hate antics.A good read, and one that was easy to pick up and put back down quickly on holiday.

    24. Good book but not one of his bestI love books by Nick Spalding but this one took work to love I guess it goes with the plot. The beginning is great and sucks you in but the middle drags. I found myself skimming to get past some of the too long events like the tennis match. The ending was great though and tied it all together beautifully - keeping me a fan of Spaulding's books.

    25. If you like TV shows like Married at First Sight, you will certainly enjoy this book. Mad Love follows Nick and Jess as they are thrown together in a marriage as a marketing pitch by a dating service. While I felt that the character of Nick was much more developed than Jess's character, I still really enjoyed reading about their antics.

    26. I received a copy of this book from Netgalley in exchange for my honest review. I liked the concept of the book and I did enjoy the beginning but unfortunately, I just didn't find it very funny , mostly they whined and were just mean to each other. I didn't really like the characters so that didn't help. I did think it was a quick and a somewhat entertaining read.

    27. Can science or mathematics predict if two people are perfect for each other? That is the premise behind Mad Love by Nick Spalding. A popular dating site in the UK, Sociality, is conducting a contest in which the site’s algorithm will match two people and the site will have the couple married before they meet and prove the algorithm works for the perfect match. Adam Holborne is a video game journalist who learns he has been chosen after a fight with a video game mascot at an expo. Jessica “Je [...]

    28. Characters you care about, a modern plot you can fully believe in and plenty of laughs balanced with a tinge of heartbreak and cringeworthy moments. Overall this has been my first Nick Spalding book but certainly won't be my last.

    29. Another Spalding ClassicMr Spalding doing what he does best.Laugh out loud comedy. Have read a lot of his books previously and really enjoyed the giggle, not disappointed by this one either, keep up the good work,,
