    1. I saw this in my local charity shop and had to read it because I enjoyed Mason's first book 'Playing James' so much. You don't need to read them in order as it's not a series. I wanted a funny playful story and this book did not disappoint me. I found myself laughing out loud quite a few times and while the plot ending is predictable, I enjoyed it that much that I didn't mind. Typical romance/chic-lit style but I highly recommend this to anyone, especially if you need cheering up!

    3. Two stars makes it seems like a hated the book and I didn't. It was formulaic. It was predictable. But it wasn't offensive or terrible. I would recommend Chasing James and Society Girls by this author instead of this one.

    4. I received this book many years ago as I was a member of a book club where they sent me 6 books a month and I,ve only just got round to reading it. I really enjoyed this book if you like Bridget Jones then you will like this book at first it,s like a normal party planner doing a charity ball thing going back to a family home that she grew up in with a bully of a ex friend. After reading this book it is so much more than this it is a funny read about a lovely family all brought together under har [...]

    5. I really liked this book. It took me a while to get into it, but it was really good. I found it quite hilarious. It is a light, funny kind of book. It's British, and there were some words that I wasn't sure of what they meant, but I still really liked it. There is some swearing, but it isn't out of control. I would recommend it.

    8. synopsis:isabelle is a party planner for all sorts of events. her boss receives a request for isabelle to handle a charity party at an estate that she lived on for several years as a child. she and simon, son of the owners, were the best of friends for a couple of years, until one summer when simon was 13 and isabelle was 11, he started a bullying campagne. when isabelle's parents moved away, isabelle and her sister went to stay with their aunt, and isabelle hadn't been back or seen simon since [...]

Ce [...]

    10. Well, reading this chicklit it likes eating nice chocolate sponge-cake with bad-taste sprinkler (you know, the "rubbery taste" of sprinklerah, it does taste like eat the rubber.eeehhh) The story itself is pretty much fun to read, the main character Isabel is so easy to like, and all of the supporting characters are spices up the story with their fun and quirky character.I got somewhat lost about the main idea of the story, on synopsis it told about how Isabel "the party planner" got a duty to pl [...]

    11. Isabel punya pekerjaan impianku. A party organizer!

    12. Sudah lama ga baca chiklit, ternyata emang menyenangkan, bisa sambil ketawa-ketawa, gemas pula liat temen-temen tokohnyaIzzi ini seorang perencana pesta, klien-kliennya suka seenaknya, bosnya galak, teman seapartemennya mencurigakan gay apa bukan, baru diputusin pacarnya lewat pesan suara, orangtuanya cuek beibehtuuh gimana ga bikin galaulalu izzi dapet tugas bikin pesta dansa di estat mantan teman kecilnya, Simon, dulu mereka dekat banget, tapi mendadak Simon jahat sama dia, trus mereka kehilan [...]

    13. I love Sarah Mason I love how she wrote the story.

    14. This was my first book from Sarah Mason. I have another one back home but I don't really feel like reading that now since it has nearly 600 pages and this book had "only" 400 and the whole plot started like on page 200. Before that, nothing happened at all that was slightly important. Seriously, waaaaaay too many details and telling me on nearly every page that the heroine (who probably looks like I dunno Eva Longoria or whoever) looks fat and like a marshmallow is not funny and/or good. WTF?! * [...]

Penilaian akhir : [...]

    16. This book was really funny, from Izzy thinking that her flatmate was gay, to her aunt "borrowing" 2 pieces of furniture from each house in her village to furnish 3 rooms in Simon's home. The characters blew me away with their plans, how they think their way out of problems, and how evil some people can be, even if htey are not so smart up in the head. It was a great book, and I was sad to finish it :( But I did, and now it's time for somebody else to read it.

    17. This one does not feature the Colshannon girls but a new character, Isabel "Izzy" Serranti. Izzy is an event planner and an all around nice girl. She snags the event of a lifetime at the estate of her former childhood playmate turned tormenter. She must confront her feelings and help the family save their estate. This book follows the Pride and Prejudice model with some really hilarious secondary characters who were far more interesting than the primary characters.

    18. Well, this one I absolutely enjoyed. The characters were so funny, I adored the completely cuckoo aunts and friends, especially the slightly kleptomaniac and hard of hearing Aunt Floo with her pet tarantula, Poppet. I laughed out loud more than once, and sometimes it was almost as I was reading a P G Wodehouse novel with the big, crazy English country family. It was a great and funny summer chick-lit, especially for a lazy morning in bed.

    19. The story was pretty fun to read. The story seemed pretty typical to me for a chicklit book. The main character was pretty likable. The other characters in the book bring their own spice to the story that made it even more interesting. The things I thought were going to happen didn't happen so the book was very predictable which was a plus for it. by the end of the book I was happy to have enjoyed this book.

    20. I enjoyed reading this book, and would love to recommend it to readers who like reading a pleasant, nice yet witty romance book.I loved the heroine who, although seemed rather vulnerable in some ways, yet was able to stand up for herself whenever needed.Unlike many other romance novels nowadays, this book was written without any sexual content that could make us feel embarrassed. This book surely can make you if not laugh at least smile broadly.

    21. This was a quick, funny read. Although it was a British comedy novel (didn't realize that when I picked it up!) and I was completely fed up by the end with all the references I kept having to look up (Filofax? Biro? Cornetto?). I would probably have given it a higher rating if I was British. That's my last British comedy - I'm trying to relax.

    22. Boring.I tried to overlook the parts similar to Bridget Jones (first scene very similar), but the characters weren't enough to sustain the com-rom cliches.Bridget Jones road to love was not the main plot of the book, it's more of a singledom and how Bridget copes with her environment. This story was way too cliched.

    24. It takes a while to warmed up to this story but, just like other books by Sarah Mason I've read, it doesn't disappoint. I especially like the quirky characters, Aunt Winnie & Aunt Flo. The story itself is a simple puppy-love kind of thing, but its simplicity give the story its heart-warming feeling.

    25. udah lamaaaa banget kayaknya gak baca chicklit.kali ini lumayan bagus, cheesy-nya gak kelewat norak. gak rame2 amat sik, tp masih cukup lucu disana sini.habis baca ini trus mau balik lanjutin baca Last Oil Shock rasanya kudu tarik napas panjang dulu *lebay*

    26. British comedy/romance. This book was light and fun, which was exactly what I was in the mood for. I love when I can laugh out loud during a book. The romance is sweet and clean, but unfortunately there was more language than I care for in this one.

    27. The plot was alright. I felt like it didn't live up to the usual hectic chaos I found in her other books, which I always love and makes me laugh. Entertaining enough, but I felt there could have been more chemistry and interaction between Simon and Isabel.

    28. i think it was a really good book to read on a lazy sunday. I was full of humour and easy to read. Once started it was hard to stop. I would recomend it to people who like to read easy and relaxing books

    29. When I was at the library, I picked this up randomly off of an end cap. It was a very enjoyable chick lit book! For some reason I just needed a book like this - not heavy, but fun to read. I'll pick up another one by her in the future.

    30. Dear Sarah Mason, Could you please stop messing around with popcorn and scrapbooking and get to work writing a new book already! From your biggest fan who buys all her friends copies of your work,Nina :)
