    1. Alex Vane and his wife are working together which is a wonderful change. I enjoyed seeing them as a struggling couple attempting to right the problems we saw in the last books. Innerva has come back and so has Amand. There is a very intricate plot that Goes hand in hand with all the action, danger, and suspicion. I loved the detail about Cuba. The people and places gave me a real feeling for how the country has been crumbling in the last fifty years. Even with danger and suspense, there was a lo [...]

    2. Disappointed.Reasons for one star is; like to read and understand every word author wrote. But after trying to translate with Google translate about dozen times, finally gave up. Don't know Spanish.Alex Vane is owner of internet media company, but again and again admits, he doesn't know much about computers, just addicted to his smartphone. He can't even to remember to charge it.In this age you can't buy a one way airplane ticket to any foreign country, especially to Cuba.Story is about malware [...]

    3. I really enjoyed this book on "revenge". Alex Vane does it his way, and James' widow is doing it her way. Both have the same target.Amand. This is a very well written thriller and the fourth in a series. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book. The review is my own opinion.

    4. Kindle Unlimited, but came back in when it was on freebie day later to make 'verified'ill hung on Media Thriller part, don't do thrillers in general but are a few writers make exceptions for, obviously, have read all of A C Fuller's. Been quite a ride so far. Liked these, but fav is Open Primary with soon to follow Off Message America's intelligence security is in the hands of a million private contractors. Now one woman may bring down their entire system.Four months ago, Alex Vane lost his frie [...]

    5. The shadow file by ac fuller.Four months ago, Alex Vane lost his friend James Stacy, killed by private security contractors working for the intelligence-industrial complex. Though Alex exposed the killers, most of the system survived, including the amoral torturer known only as Amand. Now, he and others continue to operate a web of security companies worldwide, off the record and accountable to no law.A fantastic read. I loved Alex. He was my favourite character. Lots of action. Didn't want this [...]

    6. "It always starts with a knock at the door "Journalist and CEO of the online news site, the Barker, Alex Vane, immediately thinks of the superb hacker, Innerva Shah when he learns that that a malicious software attack has been made on an independent security company. Only months before, Alex's friend and Innerva's lover had been murdered with five others in an apparently random shooting. But it had not been random, he had been targeted and the man behind it had escaped completely. Innerva had vo [...]

    7. Alex Vane is the head of an internet news/fake news site. He was tortured earlier by the head of a security contract company who works by their own rules; his best friend was killed during that escapade, and the friend's woman vowed revenge. This book starts with the head security coming to Alex, threatening all sorts of mayhem if Alex doesn't give up the woman - Alex hasn't heard from Innerva except once, right after the death. Innerva is a top-rate hacker, and she's developed a program to brin [...]

    8. The Shadow File is the fourth book in the Alex Vane Media Thriller series. If you are looking for a well written thriller then this series is for you. This is a standalone without a cliffhanger. But it will make more sense if you have read the previous book, The Mockingbird Lane. I enjoyed this book and had a hard time putting it down. There is violence. The book blurb adequately describes the storyline so I'm not going to repeat that all info here. The author did a great job of explaining what i [...]

    10. Another smash hit by AC FullerYou never really know how much a book character affects you until something happens to them in the story line and you are overcome with emotions on what will happen next. A.C. Fuller does it again with another spectacular book in the Alex Vane series. From page one, The Shadow File takes you on a heart-pounding journey with a complex and thought-provoking story and cast of characters. There is a never a dull moment in this book, and Fuller’s ability to write scene [...]

    11. Alex Vane is back and he's got bad guys messing with him again. I was so glad to see the shadowy master-hacker, Innerva Shah, front and center in this one. Her promise at the end of the previous book in the series, that (the big bad guy) "Amand will not bother you again," is promptly broken via a surprise ransomware attack followed by a phone call from Amand who wants Alex to put him in touch with Innerva. And then the plot thickens. Innerva gets Alexa and his wife Greta to Cuba where they find [...]

    12. The Shadow File I had read the Alex Vane novella and liked it, then found this one as a promo. Wow, did I miss a lot in the first three books! However, the story here managed to weave in enough of the high points from the previous books that I wasn’t lost. The characters are good and the story flows well. You get the feeling that you are right there with them. The action is very well written, places are believable, and it is a good thriller. Now to go back and get the other books.

    13. This is the fourth book in the Alex Vane Media Thriller series. This book is so well written with a strong storyline and complex characters. The book is fast paced and action packed. A great five star read. The blurb did a wonderful job of describing this book. Get ready to read and be on the edge of your seat as you keep page turning. I read an arc copy and voluntarily chose to review this book.

    14. Another fun book in this series! I enjoyed reading about Alex Vane's struggles with killers who mean him and others harm. I just love mystery books in general. And when they're written well with great characters and good plot twists it just makes me smile. This book by AC Fuller makes me smile :)I received an arc of this book and am voluntarily reviewing.

    15. This book is so good. I really appreciated how much Alex Vane has grown as a person in this story. He is more thoughtful and self-aware than in his previous books and I enjoyed seeing how much his marriage has grown. That aside the book is fast paced and I love the conundrums he faces as the plot thickens. You will not be disappointed in the least. I couldn't put it down.

    16. A largely well-thought out thriller on the cyber world that is and is about to be. A little too happy an ending and perhaps too optimistic spin on a very complex world that is increasingly unrecognizable.

    17. It's all in the detailsThis was fast paced and ended well. What I enjoyed most was the observations about Cuba. My husband and I visited a few years ago and we had the same reaction about the country and the people. Love it when an author does research!

    18. Exciting adventureThrilling adventure of a newspaper man involved with hackers and the American spy system. With a troubling threat to America’s security systems, and a normal newspaper man trying to stop it, this adventure has twists and turns on every page.

    19. Should have perhaps read the first 3 books.More hacking required. But then it's a media book. More of journalist + hacker, and skewed to journalist. Oh well

    20. IntriguingAlex Vane is an interesting guy as is Ineerva. Story line is unrelenting nonstop changes. Enjoyed Alex's personal growth and emotional realizations

    21. With The Shadow File Fuller has written another strong thriller. Old sores are still festering between Alex's old foes and friends and come to a head in this novel. Alex and Greta are headed to Cuba to find Innerva Shah who appears to have launched a massive attach on the security apparatus. Alex is naturally sceptical as the information comes from Amand Oliveto, but eventually they do try to find Innerva in Cuba. Most of the action comes in Cuba, which is a nice setting and provides a very part [...]
