    1. This is geared towards a late elementary-middle school audience. I liked it. It wasn't fabulous but was about the right amount of detail on the politics (not any more than necessary to understand the dynamics and how the politics directly affected da Vinci). It had a lot of black-and-white plates showing his drawings and some of his paintings, located in the book where they would fit the text (not in a bunch in the middle). I liked that about it.
