    1. Just finished 19th and final volume of Akimi Yoshida's manga Banana Fish best fucking manga of all time. Characterizations, dialogue, the action sequences, immigrant gang culture, US geopolitical analyses, everything spot-on even two decades after its creation, even a dose of heavy bromance to spice things up I don't think I can stop crying about the fact that it's over, and there's no more left to read. If you don't take my word for it, you can at least be comforted that my opinion seconds that [...]

    2. This is really BL gekiga story. The best which I ever read. All the best from gekiga (also, gangster story in this case), but with very many handsome boys and men and with gay plot. Main hero, Ash Lynx, who tries to avange this crippled older brother, is gay. And during the story is he twice raped (and in the past as child was he abused by his trener, but this is only bad memory), at first time it is in prison and he let it happen because he need to go into infirmary to can escape, also it is no [...]

    3. Bow down to the best BL manga I have ever read. I was reluctant at first actually, I have never liked old manga except when they are really really good. Candy Candy scares the life out of me with their sparkling big eyes. But this is not the same kind like Candy Candy anyway. An old guy friend actually convinced me that this manga was a real good and my old self always read what boys read. He didn't tell me this was a BL manga. This manga turned out to be a real good manga full of angst. Ash was [...]

    4. This is the final volume of the Banana Fish series. It contains the final chapters of the series and two individual short tales: One of Ash's first meeting with Shorter and a story set about 7 years after the main story line. This is a touching ending to a great series.

    5. Last Volume. Whew! What a trip. After finishing the previous volume I was left wondering how this last 180 page volume was going to be filled. There just didn't seem to enough story left. I was right. Sort of. There are 3 stories in this volume. The first (and shortest) is the last little bit of the Banana Fish epic saga. It is really only the last sequence that sums up the conclusion of the story. As there was really a couple of loose ends to tie-up that was easy to do in the 30 pages opening t [...]

    6. Five stars - for the final volume and the whole series.I've been reading the 19 volumes of this manga series s l o w l y over the past year after being introduced to it by a good friend. This was my first introduction to manga and I honestly wasn't sure what to make of itd how to adjust to the style and learn to notice not just the words but the images, which convey so much. But, slowly but surely, the plot and the characters have crept under my skin.until last night, when I finished the final v [...]

    7. This manga was so damn good. Some of the dialogues between Eiji and Ash were so hilarious and Ash's phobia is seriously ridiculous. The characters were a bit stereotypical with Ash being blond and Eiji's Japanese descriptions, but hey it's the 80's. The ending really struck me, but it made the story all the more touching and emotional too emotional cause I started to cry every time I turned the page during the last half of the volume. I was kind of dazed when I first started but then the suspens [...]

    8. I really enjoyed this story. I really wished it did not end the way it did but in a way I see why the auther wanted it to be this way. I think its pretty neet that she based all of her characters of real life people hense why she had to do what she did to Ash and all of the other characters in this amazing story. So sad she will probably never pick it up and continue but for now it will forever be in my heart.

    9. This finish, wow. This series is so awesome. I hated it at first but after book 3, I started to really get into it. The twists and characters in this book are awesome. I did want to beat up Eiji though.

    10. The only reason I gave this volume 4 instead of 5 stars was because of my favorite character dying. Other than that I absolutely loved this series.
