    1. Just like the first volume, there is an air of breathless tension and wildness to this book. I managed to put it down once (barely!) after the second chapter and had intended to read another chapter or two tonight - it was not to be. I had to finish the book.Mingo, the forensic accountant, and Francois, the PI, continue their love affair and can hardly keep their hands to themselves. The backdrop of Hawaii and all the detailed descriptions of the people and places gives the book an extra layer o [...]

    2. I couldn't wait to jump back into the world of Mingo and his lover, Francois. For one, these guys are hot as hell, and two, the books are well written with just the right amount of humor, mystery, sarcasm, romance, and sex. I was definitely looking forward to this installment because it looked like Mingo might get the chance to rescue Francois instead of the other way around. I think it would be difficult to be in a relationship with someone who is so darn capable of taking care of himself. I wa [...]

    3. 3.5 StarsBangBANG! No slow start here.Mingo's a lucky guy, again and again. It seems to be holding as his new relationship manifests in their love shack/fortress by the sea. There's problems in paradise and while waiting to be let off his leash on the new case something surprising and troubling orbits in disrupting the daily routines. Fast, fun, and sexy. This episode of Mingo madness is a smorgasbord of carnal delights and some sweet, softly whispered nothings. Entertaining and sizzling hot, it [...]

    4. I'm seriously beginning to wonder whether the season is undermining my emotions or if I have a previously under-utilised talent for selecting books that make me cry. This story is exciting and emotionally involving. I enjoyed learning more about Mingo and Francois, even if I think I would have been a bit more upset with the man for lying to me than Mingo was, and I am off to read the rest of this series. :)

    5. A story that moves at breakneck speed, told in quite simple words, with focus on the sex (lots of HOT sex!) and the love story between Mingo and Francois. I also liked secondary cast Leilani and Mele very much. The prose is not very artfully, rather matter of fact, suits the story. This is hard to read as a standalone, though as there are numerous referrals to previous events and many loose ends are left untied.

    6. Please comment on Kiwi's 4 sweet pea review at mrsconditreadsbooks/index. This is book # 2 and continues the story of Mingo and Francois. I really liked this follow up to the first book. There were fewer twists and turns in this story. So, Mingo and Francois are together, in love and the relationship is going great. The sex is super hot and the love between these two men is beautifully palpable. Mingo’s offered a job with the city thanks to Francois. Things are looking up for Mingo (Benny stopp [...]

    7. This story makes the series soooooo much better because there is the stable relationship and all the dynamics that come from reading about the two of them.Oh and sex is off the charts hot. There is a few little editing goofs like dreads turning into braids with beads etc - they make me want to slap AJLs beta readers but I just pushed it aside and loved the story. This series is just pure fun and I adore it.

    8. I liked this one, but I didn't enjoy it as much as the Honeybone stories. Mingo and Francois are sweet and hot. Llewellyn does create characters that it's easy for me to enjoy and want to know.I probably would have given this one a four if the mystery that was introduced at the beginning had been more of the story. It was brought up and then sort of left behind. I also didn't know there was going to be a menage scene. I didn't want that to happen for these two.

    10. Less a romance story, more a suspense/thriller. The sex scenes and overall detail give the story great texture and feel. There is a ménage scene just for fantasy sex that may not appeal to all.
